Irchard
Am I right in thinking that I just need to ensure that both versions of the game have the same patch, and then just move the save file, or am I being naive? Does the database need to be the same and is there anything else that I haven't thought of? Any help appreciated.
Canabary
The version must be the same. Everything else is stored in the savefile. So you can just move that over to the other computer and it should work. If you have the same version of course.
ahmufcwafc
Nope you're right all you need is the same patch & then just transfer the save file from one PC to another iirc
SAFCrhys_keanoFTM
How do you transfer your save file from one PC to the next? Sorry I'm not very technically minded it's just that I'm getting a laptop soon and I would really like to transfer my AC Milan game from my current PC to my new laptop. ahmufcwafc
1. Save it on something like a memory stick or a blank CD 2. Put the memory stick/CD into your new PC 3. Click & drag the save game file to the "games" folder, which you will find by clicking "My documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2008 > Games"
