Which leagues do you run?

Recommended Posts

This isn't a thread about computer specs etc, just wondering which leagues you run to have a good realistic game.

Personally I run the major European leagues, England, Spain, Italy, Germany

The decent European leagues, Portugal, France, Russia, Scotland, Holland

Then usually I run Brazil, Argentina and the USA to give a bit of balance.

Feel free to share.

Dito. I run all leagues now but only the biggest (or onese closer to home like Scotland, Ireland etc...)get more than there top Division.

Find it better that way. Like seeing what teams go up and down etc....

All leagues of the first eleven countries without Russia and Ukraine from the current country coefficient ranking. Using large DB.

Should i tick all others countries for view only? Make this my game slow?

Yes.

I didn't just pick them out the hat either. I looked at all the leagues in terms of rules and regulations, player data etc and picked the ones that looked the most interesting.

How long does it take to run a season ?

A loooooong time :D

I have the game saving at weekly intervals in case of crashes - though thankfully they're actually pretty rare.

I get my PCs custom built so they're fairly decent.

If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is to buy an industrial-spec PC and run ALL available leagues on full detail :D

Hehe yeah thats the one thing missing with me too. I hate it that i need to turn detail up on a league when i wanna see a scouted player in action. Maybe an idea for Fm14 that you get the option when you scout a player, detail on that game goes up automatically.

normally:

England (down to Counties Leagues)

Scotland (SPL-Div 3)

Spain (Top 2 divisions)

Italy (Top 2)

Germany (Top 2)

France (Top 2)

Holland (Top 2)

Portugal (Top 2)

Brazil (just the top division for when searching for youngsters)

Argentina (same as above)

I occasionally have other nations on like Australia, Russia, Belgium, USA and Ireland as well others but very rarely

Arent you already running all available leagues? :)

What I mean is all custom leagues ever made that don't cause conflicts.

Whats the difference between running a league with full detaill on and off? And when you scout a specific player from an active league, isnt that game properly scouted?
As far as I'm aware leagues without full detail run on a simplified (and thus less processor-intensive) reputation-based logic.

As a result the league results tend to be more conservative and feature less dramatic changes over time. It also appears that club financials are only calculated in the must cursory of ways.

By contrast on full-detail everything about the league is calculated to the same extent as if you were managing a club in that country.

Quite interesting. So you do notice big differences in the playing experience from having full detail on?

All european countries top divisions playable, also tier 2 in France, Italy, Spain and Germany, and English tiers 2-4 playable - the rest of the european leagues viewable. Brazilan and Argentine top divisions playable, the rest of the world viewable. Largest database. Default detail levels. It takes a good 8 to 10 hours of solid end to end playing to finish a season, all games viewed as key highlights. "Matchday experience" turned off though, and press and teamtalk left to my ass man.

No crashes with FM12 so far. Core i7 920 processor, 12 GB RAM and SSD. In a laptop.

England - Premier League, Championship, League One & Two

Spain - Liga BBVA & Liga Aledante

Italy - Serie A

Germany - First Division

France - Ligue 1

Portugal - Premier League

And occasionally one or two from the following:

Russian - Premier Division

Scotland - Premier League, Division One, Two & Three

Poland - Ekstraklasa & Liga I

Ukraine - Premier Division

Yes, very much so. For a start it favours big teams a hell of a lot less. Also I'm fairly sure that there is a greater disparity between a player's supposed ability and their actual performance over a season.

Also, you dont get crashes or conflicts while loading all those leagues you said you run?

Nope. Been running this one for three weeks, playing for 4+ hours every second day. No problems so far.

I've always found Football Manager to be astonishingly stable considering its complexity.

I'm currently running the top 4 leagues in England and no more. Infact, I may reduce that to the top 2 leagues.

Four seasons in, and i'm really beginning to struggle with lack of decent regens. I remember a previous save where I had almost all leagues loaded (On my i5 2500k rig) and there was an abundance of regens. It makes such a difference, but on my laptop I'm paranoid something will go wrong if I add any more leagues as my laptop is on it's last legs.

Australia, England all levels, Japan all levels, Scotland top and second level, Germany all levels including regionalliga, South Korea top two levels, USA, Italy top two levels, Holland top two levels, Spain top two levels.

Usually 118000 people in the game for me.

In my current career:

Argentina (2)

Australia (1)

Austria (2)

Belgium (2)

Brazil (2)

Chile (2)

Croatia (2)

Czech Rep (2)

England (6)

France (3)

Germany (3)

Greece (2)

Iceland (2)

Italy (4)

Mexico (2)

Netherlands (2)

Portugal (3)

Romania (2)

Russia (2)

Scotland (3)

South Africa (2)

South Korea (2)

Spain (3)

Sweden (3)

Switzerland (2)

Turkey (2)

Ukraine (2)

Uruguay (2)

It runs slightly slow in the transfer windows but it's bearable. My laptop is about 6 months old and includes an I7 processor though.

I like having a large array of leagues to allow me plenty of options in a journeyman career. However in retrospect I should have loaded a few custom edited leagues in order to atleast enable Oceania (New Zealand league) and more African leagues, South Africa isn't hugely exciting.
