Tutoring Players into Great Tutors

I found that when playing long running saves that after a few seasons when my talents like Neymar and Paulo Henrique have become old enoug to tutor, they don't make for the best tutors. So I decided to play a game where I try to make existing talents into the best tutors. To make things easier I started with FC Barcelona, so I started with good tutors, a lot of money and a lot of players to sell.

My main goal was to try and tutor my favorite players Paulo Henrique and Neymar into 'Professionals', so that later in the game they would also make for great tutors for new talents. Also I tried to sign a lot of existing young talents with potential and try and change them into Professional, my preferred personaltiy, with high determination and maybe sometimes settle on Driven or Determined with a good media handling style such as Evasive and/or Unflappable and determination of at least 18.

I started by selling a lot of players. D. Alves (36M), V.Valdes (23M), Pedro (20.5M) and Busquets (22.5M) were all sold to Manchester City and I also sold a lot of youngsters adding up to a total of 148M. After selling players I had 208M to spend. I signed Kuyt (13M), Olic (10M) and Adler (18M) for tutoring and talents Neymar (27M), Paulo Henrique (19.5M), Sakho (22.5M), M'vila (15M), Babacar (10.5M), Lukaku (7.5M), Badelj (4M), Galeano (5.25M) and Holzhauser (4.2M) to be tutored for a final total of 169M.

FC Barcelona already have some great tutors in defence (Puyol; Professional, determination 19 and Milito; Professional, determination 19) and okay tutors in midfield (Xavi; Professional, 16 and Iniesta; Professional, 15), but they lack good tutors up front. Villa and Messi are not very suitable tutors in my endeavour so I had to sign Kuyt and Olic, both Professional with determination of 18 and 20.

I had Neymar be tutored by Kuyt first, then cancelled tutoring and had him tutored by Olic when his determination was up to 18. Paulo Henrique was tutored by Xavi, Badelj by Iniesta, Sakho by Puyol, Galeano by Milito and Lukaku by Villa. In Januari I signed Ji-Sung Park to tutor M'vila, but they clashed. First tutoring session was quite succesfull and now in Februari I assigned Puyol to Galeano, Milito to Sakho, Xavi to Badelj, Iniesta to Thiago, Kuyt to Lukaku.

At the end of the season Neymar's personality was Driven and media handling style was Evasive.

Paulo Henrique's had turned to professional and at the end of the season, when Olic was crowned top goalscorer of the League and CL, Olic could tutor Paulo Henrique. So I let him.

At the beginning of the next season again I started selling a lot of players. Pique (44M) to Cheslea, Villa (48M) to Man City, Mascherano (43M) to Real Madrid and a lot of others players for a total of 221M. I started with buying Lahm (30M) and De Gea (20M) and then splashed it on Fabregas (95M + clauses) and Essien (60M + clauses).

Talents I bought were Azpilicueta (13.5M), Sissoko (17.5M) and Sanogo (6.75M).

I assigned Adler to De Gea, Fabregas to Sissoko, Essien to M'vila and Lahm to Azpilicueta.

In November, when Olic's tutoring was finished, Paulo Henrique's personality was Professional and his determination up to 20.

In Januari I bought 'Professionals' Cambiasso (29M) and Lucio (12M) from Inter. Cambiasso (det. 18) to tutor M'vila and Lucio (det. 20) to tutor Sakho. By then I had spent 284M on transfer fees that season.

In 2012 tutoring has really paid off as my squad personality is now Driven.

I'm very pleased with the results of the tutoring. Especially Neymar and Paulo Henrique to determination 20, both thanks to Olic, the best offensive tutor in the game in my opinion, was quite amazing.

Also Sakho, M'vila and De Gea will now make for great tutors in the future.

I'm now at the end of the third season and looking for more young existing talents (not-regens) to change into great tutors.

When Paulo Henrique turned 24 he could tutor Neymar and in Januari 2014 Neymar's personality went to Professional;

This regen's determination went from 14 to 19 and his personality went from Fairly Professional - Short-tempered to Perfectionist - Evasive (after being tutored by Sakho).

I find it hard to tutor players in Spain because if you sign more players, you can only put on the list 25 and the youngsters, and all the players get unhappy because they want to play and they can't play because they aren't on the list

also there is a problem because I can't tutor players that are in Castilla or Real Madrid C

I agree it can be annoying you can only list 25 players. I think it helps a lot almost all my players are very professional as they don't seem to complain that much. I have moved youngsters from Barcelona At. to my first squad to tutor them and then move them back to At. but it seems that cancels tutoring, which is also kind of annoying. How is Ronaldo as a tutor?

he is good, though now he is 34 and his determination dropped to 18, his mentals are not extraordinary
