To best illustrate this Team A is in the lowest division and has been for a long while, Team B is a close geographical neighbour but has always been in the top flight, therefore rivalry is low due to the rare occurances a cup draw pits them against each other. However team A has a meteoric rise to the top flight and will now regularly face Team B does the rivalry increase and this now becomes a local derby? sjm Posted July 17, 2012 Share Posted July 17, 2012 It would be nice if this were to happen - my rivals are all either non-league or BSN while I'm in the EPL.
