naxself
I noticed the other thread on the error code was closed, so I thought I would ask: has anyone else been getting the error code? The message is as follows: "The Steam servers are too busy too handle your request for Football Manager 2012. Error Code (41)". I keep expecting FM to update, but I doubt that will happen at this point. So, can anyone tell me why this may be happening? Thanks in advance. naxself
Right. That was a useful post. Just so you know, you can turn off automatic updating in the game's preferences. So, yeah. My original question remains. If it helps, I've been experiencing this problem with FM only and for the last few weeks.
Respected_Boss
A more useful post would be to suggest that error 41 has something to do with validating your game cache, thats what googling the error and looking at tech advice suggests to me. Reinstalling Steam looks to have fixed this error too.....
johnhughthom
Actually automatic updating only stops updates being downloaded until the next time you start the game, the only way to stop Steam downloading an update is to put it in offline mode before the update is released. As for your problem, I take it you've tried the obvious, verify cache, clean reinstall? edit: Crosspost with Respected_Boss.
