He's dead game to join but work permit problems, any little cheeky tips to bypass this at all? i remember once i kept trying and in the end it happened but no so much this time. HELP. Nottingham Forest Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 It won't ever happen. He never had a work permit whilst at Charlton which is why they loaned him out. Obviously as he didn't complete the required number of days to get Belgian?(I think) nationality, Charlton released him. The only way he'd have any chance of getting it is if he went back to Belgium(I think) and completed the number of days in game and that took Belgian nationality. Then you'd have a chance of signing him. He won't ever get it any other way as he's never probably going to be good enough to play enough games(70%) over 2 years for the Ivory Coast and he's never been considered a good prospect of a player to get a work permit on appeal.
