Few Ideas For FM13

Recommended Posts

Just a few ideas that i feel would be easy to implement and help fm become even more enjoyable and immersive.

*More Detail in negotiating transfer fee's for example,

-being able to offer money based on winning cups, finishing a certain position in the league (top 5, mid table, avoiding relegation)

-Being offered/receiving money from merchandising as part of the transfer, (% of profits made from shirt sales/image rights for the player ect) this would improve club links for merchandise sales in affilliate clubs and give it more reason to pursue.

-Actual interest in using player exchanges as a make weight to help fund the transfers

*More detail in Player Contract Negotiations,

-Being able to ask the club to help towards players wages like AI can with us. (for example a player that wants to leave, the club wants to sell, but nobody else is interested yet he feels he wants more wages than you can offer)

-Being able to offer the player merchandise rights (a certain % of moneys made from his shirt sales and merchandise goes to him) to help lower the weekly wage demand.

-Actually being able to offer older players pay-as-you-play contracts that are not turned down without interest.

*Tactic Creation, More Control,

-Currently there are set places you can place players which is great but i feel more detail in where to place players. For example you can put someone in a DM position or CM position OR AMC. Why not remove the DM/MC/AMC tactic position spots and have MID. The player can be placed freely anywhere from right infront of the DC's all the way up to just behind the strikers. No set place to drag and drop. The way they play or how you use them is based on attributes. Basically more freedom in player Positioning to set up exactly how you want without Slots to place them into.

-Leading on from above i feel that having a player AMC and can only play that position or DMC/MC is not something that would be how real players are seen. Real life formations/tactics and where/how players are used are base on their qualities. A fast player good at dribbling with a good cross is seen as a good wide player.Where abouts he is placed to start from is not something that would make a great deal of difference. Removing the AMC/MC/DMC Position identifiers and just having MID. Which way you use them based on there attributes and your tactics is up to you. Same for LB/LWB,RB/RWB. Wide defenders are basically what they are and again how you set up and use them shouldn't be based weather they can play a few more yards further up the field. MR/AMR,ML/AML same thing, their wide midfielders and should be seen that way, Weather they can play a few yards further up the pitch shouldn't make a difference. It should be about there attributes, what they do best and how to use them effectively the way you want to. I feel this would give more control when creating tactics aswell as giving you more choice and options aswell as making players more diverse to use in formations/tactics.

*Geeting rid of dead wood

-At this moment in time you can have an ageing star with stats that are dropping, wages that could run a lower league starting 11 team and no sign of any compromise. Players Should be more willing to accept a wage cut if they love the club OR willing to leave the club in order to find first team football if the club tells them they are not needed/dead wood. This is mainly for the start of the game when older players have longer contracts on higher wages that dont fit into your squad, when new managers join teams they should be able to tell players they aren't needed or wont play as big a part of the team as before.

-More interest from other teams for your transfer listed players. Wages should not determine weather a team has interest and tries to pursue a signing. With the contract negotiations above (merchandise % to player, Offering to pay so much towards wages ect) lowering weekly wage demands it would make the experience alot more exciting when selling players rather than knowing nobody will touch him because of his CURRENT wage. Players should be more willing to negotiate which in turn should not deter would be buyers.
