If you started small, within the recommended set up, then adding leagues will have a minimal effect. If your computer is working at its maximum at the moment, then adding leagues will just put extra strain on it and it will eventually crash when it runs out of memory. The issue with the game at the moment is not as much the adding of leagues, but trying to remove them, which takes away the bones but leaves the players details behind, thereby not reducing processing time by much.
