Why arent players from some obscure nations included in database?

Every time I get the new game each year, I have wanted to manage a tiny nation like the British Virgin Islands and try to take them to the world cup. However, the makers of the game dont include any of their players into the database so I cant do this. My question is why are there plenty of players for countries such as american samoa, but none for nations like the virgin islands or tuvalu? It cant be too difficult to find out the names of some of these players. This question is really directed at sports interactive but feel free to comment.

I'm guessing because it's near impossible to get researchers for such nations. Plus, you're probably in the minority, 99.99% of FM players probably don't care.

Well, yes, you'd probably be able to get enough real life names to fill a squad and just give them all really low CA/PA with random attributes. Maybe you could create your own player db?

Your best bet would be to load all players from Oceania and manage someone like Papua New Guinea who are ranked 206th in the world.

I quite often manage the Cook Islands and I enjoy being such a low level nation and trying to get them to a World Cup

Only the once out of complete luck. I was ragged in the world cup but then I'm sure the players and the nation were just happy to be there.

I almost did it with Fiji but got beaten in the playoff by Qatar.
