I came across a Euro 2012 pack for FM in another thread. With it I have created an FM save with accurate groupings and accurate squads. I've added a custom league (Canada) and edited its start date so the game starts on the 27th of May to ensure accurate squads for the tournament. I will adopt the same approach as Apaco, except that my average CA will be derived from FMRTE to reflect the actual in-game CA at the time of the match. More importantly, in-game results will be part of the comparison! It'll be interesting to see how much influence CA has on the ME in full sim and how accurately the ME reflects the real world. Details about the save: Leagues loaded: Top division of the 16 Euro Teams on playable + Canada on 'view only' Database size: Large with 'load all current internationals' for Europe set. Game Start: 27th May 2012 (Canada) Detail Level: Euro set to 'full detail', all other competitions set to 'none'. Will post my results whenever I have time to run the sim. The AI refuses to register all 23 squad members come registration date (1st June), instead it only registers players it 'deeems' good enough and fills the rest of the squad with 'grey' players! Did a quick test by taking over a nation. On registration day, I ask the AI to auto-select the squad and it only registered 17 of the 23 members! Just don't understand the logic of selecting less than 23 and filling with fake players... 27th May is the latest start date I can get with the editor so there's no way of starting after the 1st of June. adam426 Posted June 13, 2012 Share Posted June 13, 2012 You probably need to load more leagues to make sure that every team has enough players to select. However, you'll probably never be able to get the right squads because, for example, Jetro Williams will never be picked for the Netherlands and I'm sure there are other similar players that wouldn't be picked. forzamr_b Posted June 13, 2012 Author Share Posted June 13, 2012 It's not a matter of leagues because the squads are accurate at game start on the 27th of May, so all the desired players are available but just aren't picked by the AI on registration dat (1st of June). My solution now is to edit the database again and re-assign the managers as assistants. At game start, I'll take over all the nations, ensure that the squads remain unchanged.
