artifical pitch?

okay so im real madrid first season, spanish cup 4th round and im drawn away at a semi pro ground, middle of autum so i check thier pitch condition to find its non grass, expecting a 4g type pitch but find its more a basket court style?

That is something I have never seen before, I may even have to host a friendly against them to see it with my own eyes.

Looks like a gravel surface, horrid pitches to play on. There's been a thread on this before when someone else was shocked. I do believe some clubs don't play on grass and play on gravel.

It's something that needs correcting during data research.

Whilst there are amateur teams in Spain that play on gravel pitches (I know, I've played on some ), those at a high enough level to play in the Spanish Cup would more likely have astroturf pitches, if there isn't natural grass. I would have thought that all the Tercera division teams will have natural grass pitches or astroturf. The Tercera divisions are those beneath the Segunda B divisions.

I spotted one of these clay/gravel type pitches for one of my local teams in FM12, for Huetor Tajar, which is incorrect. It's something I'll mention to the Spanish lower league researchers to double check when they're next reviewing club data.
