Mr_Whippy
Bare in mind, that's a new list. They're probably running from last years figures.
crewe_york
I don't think FM takes certain areas of Man U's value into account, I think it looks more at bank balance, squad value, sponsorship and TV revenue.
FMADDICT69
Bare in mind, that's a new list. They're probably running from last years figures. i think you will find that manchester united has been top of that list for 8 years in a row now. but i think crewe_york might be right
Smurf
Well Utd have been top for a while http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes%27_list_of_the_most_valuable_football_clubs Where Barca reside in 7th for a bit. But in every save they're one of the top richest clubs along with Real Madrid.
Stampler
FM should take into account the debts of RM. Barca, Man Utd and many other top clubs. Only club without debt up there is Bayern Munich.
sebbie
This has nothing to do with the Debts clubs up. It to do what the club worth as a whole like price of all players, money they get in from prize money etc and als how much faciltes and staduim are worth etc.
PPPPPPPPPPPP10
In past FM Man U was at the top usually, don't know when it changed into Barca/RM
Flohrinho
Yeah Barca and Real are pretty much untouchable in that regard in FM2012. I'm in 2019 by now and Barca has a individual TV deal worth more then 1.000.000.000 € and Real has almost the same amount. Both teams also have a transfer budget of 400-500 mio € each season and sitting on loads of cash because they somehow almost never buy any expensive players. vilks
It's beacause they get to negotiate separate TV deals as opposed to the EPL where all TV money is shared. It's an awful system in Spain which means that Braca and Real will always have more money to burn than any other club in their country. That's how I would explain it in game any way, but obviously with MU being the richest game in real life it should be reflected better in the game. achilles-the-victorious
In my FM11 save, in 2035 Juventus and Arsenal are the top clubs (in terms of value, at $1.5B and 1.4B). Arsenal got a wackload of money from selling their Emirates stadium, and tycoons. My Juventus side was just shrewd as hell, and tremendously successful. Madrid are rich, but not a top 3 team right now (Sevilla, Barca, Valencia, then Atletico with RM close behind). I like it, La Liga isn't the two horse race it was from 2011-2020.
