lost2escape Posted March 17, 2012 Share Posted March 17, 2012 I had a bad season and have to get rid of some of my high waged players. i accepted a bid for a player, the club offer him a contract and then i get a message saying player wants some money payed to him till his contract is up from you. but how come if we offer a player smaller wage, he just refuses it straight away and dont get some of his wages payed by his old club??? Nottingham Forest Posted March 17, 2012 Share Posted March 17, 2012 It does happen. Your last point that is. On FM10, I got promoted with Barnsley and Gary Cahill was transfer listed. I could only offer him £23k a week and Man United paid £16k a week. He was on £40k a week at United. Admittedly though, it only happens on the odd occasion. dafuge Posted March 17, 2012 Share Posted March 17, 2012 I've seen it happen on previous versions, but not since the live contract negotiations were introduced. I'm not sure it is even possible, because the player/agent will reject the offer immediately now instead of taking time to consider it, bringing in the possibility of the selling club making up the wages.
