The Save Game Could Not Be Loaded

Hello there. I purchased the game through Steam yesterday. I started a new game up and played for a while, I saved the game last night and closed the game and steam down properly then shut down my laptop. When I went to play the game again today I had the error message 'the save game could not be loaded' - Panic. I read around various forum on tips how to get my game working again. I tried to 'verify integrity of game cache' as I had seen this recommended. This worked for me and I was able to load the game back up. I have then been playing all day and saved the game again and closed it down. I have just tried to start the game up and I am getting the same message as yesterday but none of the suggested options are working. I don't want to start a new game now as it seems like this is going to happen every single time. Can anybody give me a hand sorting it out? Would be greatly appreciated.

are you closing your computer before the saved game finishes saving it ? I do suggest you saved it 3 times so you have 3 saved games you can try to load in the future
