So I want to gift the game to a friend (via Steam), but can he install the game from my disc, then I 'gift' him the game but only to use the gift as the activation part? Worth giving it a shot. Ok, thanks Neil. I use a Windows PC, while he uses a Mac. Not sure if that will make any difference. But we will try it tomorrow anyway, as I've noticed from other threads you're experiencing some issues.
