Next year, can we have the data update and patch separately?

I understand a patch, especially the final patch, takes time for testing and all that.

I have no problems with waiting for the patch.

I actually don't think the game is in that bad a state so I don't NEED a patch (like one yes, need one no).

Also, patches tend to be save game compatible so not too worried about its timing.

HOWEVER, I can't really get into a long term game without the Jan data update.

Maybe I'm weird/strange/unique, but that's just how I am.

It cannot possibly take a whole month to make the data upgrades.

Can SI please release the data upgrades once it's available rather than force us to wait for the patch?

I believe a lot of the "where's the patch?" thread is driven by wanting the data upgrade rather than the patch itself.

I'm definitely in that camp.
