THX1138
I'm currently into my fifth season with Cliftonville from Northern Ireland, and we have just managed to qualify for Champions League where we will be up against some huge clubs. My question is should I just play the kids in Europe and rest the first team as being brutalized by some of Europe's biggest teams is going to nothing for their moral, and i'm afraid of suffering in my league, but will sitting out huge games anger them as we are only a semi professional and they may never have this opportunity again  By thx2208 at 2012-02-27[/img]
SWaRFeGa
First time in the Champions League? My advice is to play your reserves, take the money, concentrate on the league. Having said that - maybe there is not a lot you can do with the money at Cliftonville. I played reserves when I faced Barca with my Kilmarnock side. They won 10-0. Carmi88
play them with proper teams, imagine the income from sneaking Into 2nd or 1st
Ranquelme
Play your proper team. No point qualifying for it if you're going to play your reserves. But that's just me.
robertcornell68
I've often trashed my league form by trying to compete in Europe with a small club but I just can't resist having a go.
AcidBurn
Should always have a go in my opinion, play your first team.
FrazT
You owe it to yourself, the club, the players and the fans to give it a go, so play your first team and even if they are well beaten, praise them for their effort

kensteidel
Real Madrid could have had a teddy bear in goal and still not concede any goals.

JackJCFC
go really defensive . I've found that 5-3-2 works well for me on the counter but you need the right players obviously.
mumble jumbo
That's the only downside to FM, it has no concept of certain things. I bet if that were RL that team would of totally played above themselves and made it a tighter game, especially with them being at home. I'd say 2 or maybe 3:0 but not 11. Thomasmc135
Why, at 10-0 down, would someone get themselves sent off? Too humiliating?
