TomCorbett
Was just on my save as Worcester City went on a ten match unbeaten run and BANG. crash dumps error?? Very seldom has this happened and i'm gutted because my last save was 2 games into the streak, does anyone know if there's anyway i can retrieve the game to the date it crashed, all i know is that there's a crash dump file in the folders. Need help on this desperately A.S.A.P, so any insight would be extremely helpful.!

LeBaiton
Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I don't think you can recover unless you have the option for automatic saving turned on which would allow you to load a newer savegame. It's one of the reasons I save before every game I play, as I've never had the game crash outside of a match. During matches however there seems to be a lot of calculations going on which probably taxes my computer to the max. Atleast, that's what I reckon it does. Takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll be glad you did.
ljwjones
I had a problem very similar just the other day and unfortunatly the only advice I got given was "Turn auto-save on" and "always back up your save games" In response thoughh I sadly dont think you can get your tun back which is very unfortunate, but look at it this way, you can now just do it again :- ) More moments where your on the edge of your seat. electric_boogaloo
the crash dumps error is quite unpredictable and i never know if it will happen or not. i have set it to autosave every 2 weeks so if it does happen i rarely lose more than 2 games
SWaRFeGa
You'll learn from this!!! I save my game before and after every game. Should be an option in the settings, if you ask me. The games themselves are the most important aspect.
jimbobBRFC
see i've never experience a crash dump, touch wood. But i have started to get in the habit of saving often and backing up any long term saves to dropbox or my external hard drive, to be extra safe
Matt ex SEGA
Crash dumps are normally caused by a PC issue, in honesty. If you're getting them regularly, post your DXDiag here and lets see if we can identify the cause. Instructions on how to do that here: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/279162-Football-Manager-2012-*OFFICIAL*-FAQ?p=7184733&viewfull=1#post7184733

Matt ex SEGA
Hi, Well - the obvious thing that you can do is update that graphics card driver - it's as old as the hills and I'm reasonably sure there'll be a newer one than that available. I'd also check into updating DirectX and Java - assuming that you're getting crash problems and that's why you've posted. Cheers Matt
Jeff Brazil
I have found (FM 2011) that the weekly 3 rolling autosave is an OK option to begin with if you're starting out. Computer setup is indeed top priority when it comes to computer gaming. After you get your computer setup you'll get into a gaming rhythm and be good to go. Holiday some weeks for speedier gameplay and turn off unnecessary options like press conference etc.
