Need some advice

Hi,

Ive been playing football manager for ages now, always get the game every year.

The thing is I am not the best manager, I always think i've got a good squad but usually just finish mid table. Did my best work in fm11 when I got middlesbrough and huddersfield both promoted. However, in fm12 the only team I've been able to do well with is Newcastle.

So I'm wondering, is there a league or team I can play with and gain success quickly? Obviously I dont want it really easy like Barcelona or Porto but someone where with a few signings they can win the title, in whatever league theyre in.

Can anyone help?

im running a game in germany , managing Frankfurt , no money to spend but a squad that can quite easily get you promoted , im quite a few points clear at the beginning of feb , challenge will be season 2 to keep them there but thats what its all about

Frankfurt, interesting. Im looking for a promotion challenge thats not in England. I presume they are a similar standard of team to West Ham in the Champ?

I'm sure you already know but starting with "International footballer" reputation will help you hit the ground running. Only really play the English leagues but I'd say pick any team with a bit of money but low expectation.

I have taken Grimsby from BSP to Championship in consecutive seasons. I know nothing about football IRL, I have only played it in PE at school and I dont watch it.

I suggest trying that, its fun.
