haz32
In the 2014/15 season as QPR manager, I have been appointed England manager. Problem is I can't get Rooney to perform. He is still tearing up the Premier League with Man Utd, but has been getting 6.6s for me, and in every game he is looking complacent or uninterested. The reason for this may be my relatively low reputation. Anyone got any ideas on how to get him playing as he should be?

athos7
Rooney not playing as well for England as he does for Man Utd? How shocking!!
lil ole me
Probably comes down to your rep as manager. I am currently world class manager and have no problem motivating him. He prob just thinks "Who does this guy think he is, an average joe blo trying to tell me what to do "

poola21
get on his favoured personnel list: easiest way is signing his brother after asking him for a good player to join the club that's what I did it's faster than reaching world class status
haz32
Kick him in the spuds might be better If this was an option I would already have taken it. I've just dropped him from the team, players with half his stats are performing much better, and old man Gerrard is still banging in the goals, so why bother with him? EVH5150
I started my career as Man Utd manager (with the reputation of a former international player), and it still took me four months to get anything out of Rooney in terms of performance, or even to get him to react positively to my team-talks. Now that I've got him on-side, so to speak, he's performing much better, and consistently, too. Previously, it had got to the point where I was considering dropping him for the in-form Macheda. Howie
I did a quick game on FM as Man Utd as a Sunday League Football and he was dis-interested in anything I had to say until I ditched the game at the beginning of the 2nd season, even after winning multiple trophies.
