NEO-BAHAMUT- Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Ok so my first season in the Premiership found me finishing 6th but also I won the league cup. What does this give me next season? As far as I know, aside from a nice bit of prize money and a fair bit of prestige, winning the Europa League just guarantees you a place in the UEFA Super Cup tie (against the Champions League winner). There are usually a lot of good teams in the Europa League, remember the third-placed Champions League teams drop down into it from their group stages as well, so if you're able to win it you're probably going to be strong enough to qualify for CL on league position, unless you're having a poor year.
