Isn't it enough to look back at the fixtures?

I do this too.

What I do have is a notebook full of notes, research and info for my custom database. Knowledge I havebuilt up over many years. I have recently transferred some to my computer in excel and word files but nothing beats a paper copy... well except a fire :D

Defintely keep a notebook handy.

For my main formations I write down the best 2 or 3 players for that position. As form fluctuates I scribble them out and add others, and when new players come in I redo my charts. I used to keep a record of how many attribute points each player had increased every season but that was too time-consuming.
