I always get annoyed when I see "updates" for the classics like CM01/02 or CM00/01.
All the new players / rosters are there.
BUT the game date is still 2000 /2001 which smashes all the atmosphere of the game!!!
My suggestion for further versions of FM would be an option to select the start date/starting year of the game.
What do you think?
I dont think this would be too hard to implement (I can only see a potential conflict coming up with "future transfers" but that could be easily avoided by leaving them out?)

complete waste of time to be honest.

An idea that would give people an incentive not to buy each year's iteration of the game? Brilliant.

I see. You also bought FM2010 then i guess, which I see as an "update" of FM09 and regret having paid for that so much because I had almost everything of it there also.

it would just be an option in the game when you are using updates in the future, thats all im saying. If its too hard to code its ok. Of course i accept this.

I would prefer them to make a FM Classic game where you can pick from like five preset seasons to start the game from, rather than just changing the
dates and it being unofficial, like what CM did for iPhones and the like.
