Downloaded and update (steam) and now the game doesnt load

So I've downloaded an update from steam ( my net was connected and i opened steam) and automatically downloaded it. Now the game wont load. It comes with a message saying "Preparing to Launch Football Manager 2012" then nothing happens. When I go to close Steam down it comes up with a message saying "Please exit from Football Manager before closing steam"

I've tried the local cache trick to no avail.

It also comes up with a message sometimes saying "The in-game Steam overlay requires access for assistive devices to be enabled"

I click Ok and then nothing happens.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I have a Mac.
