applecrumble
I got the game for Xmas, and have just got round to playing it a week or so ago. On my Macbook, everything was up and running, but then a couple of days later, after trying to install it on my iMac, it won't work! I've put the disc in, loaded Steam and when I try to play FM12, it says 'Validating Steam Files'. It then completes this, says it's successful but immediately throws up a 'Steam servers are too busy to handle your request' error. If I try again, it provides the same error. I can't even get onto the game on my iMac, because it won't pass this first hurdle! It's been like this a week and I've yet to be successful. I've already tried changing my download region multiple times to hopefully let the servers work, but no luck.
SazoJohnno
Steam have been very very busy lately with the sales they were doing, it should be fine today.

Administrators Neil Brock Posted January 6, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 6, 2012 I'd suggest trying verifying your game cache as instructed in the FM12 FAQ. If this doesn't work it may be worth changing servers - again instructions can be found in the FAQ. Let us know how you get on, thanks.
Wiitastic
by the way, why are you using the cd to install on 2 different locations ? you only need the cd once, log into your steam and it will download the files it needs on the 2nd computer. applecrumble
I've sorted it now. None of the above suggestions worked, but I found a similar issue on the Steam forums and provided an answer.
