Squad Size

What's your average squad size and how many players do you have for each position?

I like to have a squad size of about 25. Although usually I have more as I like to have 5 strikers, 5 central midfielders and 5 centre backs.

I hate having a big squad. I'll usually have a first team of around 20-25 (25 being the absolute maximum). I sometimes have only one player for the odd position here and there, preferring to rely on versatile players who can fill in there if needed, or sometimes even trying to give game time to youngsters if they are needed.

22 is the perfect number for me.

Mine is 22 if i'm a top club. My current Man Utd save i have 22 players in first team squad then 3 to 6 youth players around the squad also. With the first half of season having Prem, Lge Cup and Champions Lge i have two squad selections saved, with only De Gea starting in both.

If im a lower league team i have a squad of 17/18 then bulk up with 3 or 4 youth or non contract players.

Always looking into the clubs cash flow at non league level so if im stuck in mid table i tend to rid myself of the non contract players as although i pay zero wages the apperaence fee is generally more than my squad players wage and apperaence fee added together!

23 players. One first 11, one second 11, and one poor schmuch who gets the ungrateful task of being 3d choice goalie.

depends. i have a lot of players on some saves.

but others i have only a few. depends what the budgets are.
