N1ck
Ive just been sacked by liverpools management after coming 4th in my first season. Surely this is a little unrealistic?
N1ck
Yeah thats fair enough, and i did put title challange, only because there wasnt an option to challange for continental finish or something
trekman
Jus retire then add yourself back into the game as Liverpool manager. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this.
N1ck
Hate doing it though because it feels like im cheating though lol
postal postie
I finished 4th with Liverpool (was 5th till last game of season) but won the league cup and got to the semis of the fa cup. I think it was my cup win that kept me my job
Spav
Liverpool's expectations are very high on FM12 from what I've seen and read - a lot of managers seem to be in trouble if they can't get the club into the top 3-4 positions.
Mike7077
Yeah, this has been knocked around on these forums since the game came out. Something's not quite right.
N1ck
Its especially odd after they offered me a new 5 year contract about a week or two before i was sacked...
scott MUFC
yes the expectations are high. on my united save they STILL have dagleash on 2013/14 season, they finished second in the leauge in the first season, but nowhere near there in the second. Administrators Neil Brock Posted December 26, 2011 Administrators Share Posted December 26, 2011 Yeah probably a tiny bit too high, but seeing as they spent £60m odd on Carroll, Henderson, Enrique etc - with great spending comes great expectation - even if you didn't sign the players yourself. stevio11
Its way to high, Liverpool should be "expected to reach euro competition,no way league winners.
Tom14
If there was any other manager there other than Dalglish it would be interesting to see what would be deemed acceptable.
Mike7077
Yeah probably a tiny bit too high, but seeing as they spent £60m odd on Carroll, Henderson, Enrique etc - with great spending comes great expectation - even if you didn't sign the players yourself. That money was spent with the intention of qualifying for the Champions League, not challenging for the title. Yet people are being sacked as Liverpool manager as soon as it becomes clear they're unlikely to win it. And their season expectations are of a title challenge. Nothing less is offered. AcidBurn
I think either the owners ambition might need dropping or the overall reputation of the club. Are those the only ways to make it possible to set Champions League qualification as the starting expectation?
scott MUFC
with great spending... brings 2 useless strikers do you get sacked for second? becase dalgleash doesnt so could be a reputation issue
Com
Dalglish regularly finishes 8th-10th in my game and doesn't get sacked. They have quite a team too.
