alexyfoot
I wouldn't buy it, processor is old gen so weak battery life. Pavillions are the worst laptops possible. I'd prefer even an acer before this. It is worth looking elsewhere like: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/10789413/art/samsung/series-3-np300e5a-a01dx-1.html?srcid=9689&Partenaire=idealo&CodePromo=oui&clickref=3076727 http://www.dabs.com/products/fujitsu-lifebook-ah531-core-i3-2310m-4gb-ram-500gb-hdd-w7hp-7TFG.html?utm_source=td&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_content=TB00?ReferrerID=tb&utm_source=td&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_content=TB00 http://www.dabs.com/products/lenovo-b570-i3-2310m-4gb-500gb-dvd-rw-15-6--w7hp-7FQX.html?utm_source=td&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_content=TB00?ReferrerID=tb&utm_source=td&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_content=TB00 New gen processor and far more reliable laptop series than Pavillions. Good luck and happy holidays.
nine_iron
For buying laptops for just FM I would try and get the fastest and most recent processor you can, you need no more than 6 GB of ram at 1333 and amoderate sized HDD. The rest such as monitor size and graphics power are budget dependan. I don't thin quad or dual matters much for laptop use unless u have a seperate monitor to attatch and wish to multi task. I am just about to buy one and that's the crieteria I am using. In summary, just make sure its the most rcent series of processors and is within budget. Try to avoid those with unecessiraly big hard drives and other extras. Make sure monitor resolution is good no matter what the size
alexyfoot
In that price range you can't get Sandy Bridge with higher res than 1366x768 unfortunately...
