I have steam on my current laptop with previous versions of fm installed. So will i hav to download steam on the new laptop and sign in. nine_iron Posted December 20, 2011 Share Posted December 20, 2011 You could download the new FM to your current laptop if you have access to it now, then back up the game, using steams inbuilt backup system, to an external hard drive. Install steam on the new computer when you get it then connect up the external and install FM12 from the backup... Saves lots of effort! I have all my favourite games backed up just in case of a system crash (and for recently moving to a new SSD) so I did not have to redownload over 40GB worth of games and I could be up and playing on the same day as the OS install! Passwords are easy as long as you have your email. if not the steam help centre team are very good but you only get one chance for each mistake!
