Anyone getting a yellow little symbol next to certain words in the game?

I noticed a yellow symbol appeared next to whenever my team name was mentioned - whether it be on fixture list or on the main team page etc. I was pretty sure that this was just to indicate what team was player controlled but then randomly it happened next to one of my player's names.

I've since left the club and the symbols remain next to the team and the player but it also now appears next to the words 'Portugal' or 'Portuguese'!

Anyone else had this and now what's caused it?

I think it happens when you make a note on something.

hmm, I don't know about that. The club, possibly, but the player in the game or Portugual, I'm certain I hadn't.

This happened to me when I made of note a my ass man's loan report.

This is not a feature I particularly like.

i think they should just change the colour of the person/object in question to purple, or what ever colour they chose - rather than having the little yellow star next to it.

at least that would make it fit in with the rest of the interface.

It sounds useful to me as it helps keeping track on people or teams on which a note was created.

However, I never use this option fwiw

I personally don't want to have every single reference to a team or player highlighted but I can see that it could be useful.

I should be done in a less ugly way.

It's annoying enough that I now don't use notes for anything. I used to keep notes on who I'd fined, but now I don't bother as I don't want the little squares.

I generally use notes with a reminder date to check certain players contracts etc. Helped me get Luis Boa Morte signed up as a member of staff when his club contract ended, as well as Alex Smithies in to play and could have had Connor Wickham too if he wasn't so greedy. Once the note has done its purpose though it gets deleted as the little yellow things do throw you off a bit.
