oi_oi_ginger_roy
Finally decided to sign the rest of the year away and purchased FM2012... Loaded up a Reading game and played a few games - the thing i've noticed most is Adam Le Fondre (our striker) is still a quality League Two striker - but in the game he's rubbish in the Championship. If i was to edit him pre-game, what attribute is best to change to turn him in to an average Championship striker (after all he's our top scorer and regular starter) I dont want to make him "beast" - just make it more realistic Thanks in advance
Bezzler
Have a look at this mate it may help, you http://www.theawaystand.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/1222-currentpotential-ability/ I have to say i don't normaly edit my game this early into the release, but i am thinking about editing the Wycombe squad as there stats seem to be all over the place
ringwoodrob
:)Try putting his determination stats 20/20,take a look at his goalkeeper stats put most of them to 1,then you wont have alter his overall ability,

Spot_The_Dog
If you increase only his CA in an editor (e.g. FMRTE), all his attributes will be increased appropriately by the game in line with this new CA after a couple of game days - probably the best way to just make him better all-round as a player. oi_oi_ginger_roy
Thanks guys - i'll amend the CA (gonna start a new game anyway)

Robsy1990
Reading put him on the loan list after the first season on my game, I loaned him for my Basingstoke team in Leagues One & Two, and he was amazing in both, 61 goals in 89 appearances. As soon as I got the Championship I was going to buy him outright but my scouts said he'd be the worst striker in my team at that level, as my younger prospects had developed into better players. Definitely underrated in FM, he was quality against West Ham yesterday IRL as well.
BiggusD
What's a "good CH player" in CA terms? 115? 130? Find that out before you make him into a world-class striker
SCIAG
115-120 is probably about right for Le Fondre. Essentially, Roy, give him a higher CA than Hunt. If you're going to adjust his attributes, look at finishing, composure and technique.
ScottishSteven
You might want to edit the TV money problem for Reading while you are there, in case you get promoted...
oi_oi_ginger_roy
You might want to edit the TV money problem for Reading while you are there, in case you get promoted... Whats this then?
ScottishSteven
Reading have a club TV deal coded into the game by mistake, which means they don't get any of the premiership TV money if they get promoted. Saw it on the bugs forum the other day. You need to change it using FMRTE I think, as even any update won't change it apparently.
oi_oi_ginger_roy
Ah right - thanks for letting me know Will using FMRTE mess my game up at all? - or is it safe to use
Krald
It's usually safe, there is a small chance of it breaking things, but back up before you do it. I've used it often to fix bugs (or peer at CA/PA because i am a curious one) and it's never caused a noticable issue in my games.
milnerpoint
Ah right - thanks for letting me knowWill using FMRTE mess my game up at all? - or is it safe to use Nah if you careful with it, and have a backup save just incase you will be fine Just be careful changing things like contracts and what have you, anything that has a starting date you can change you should be careful around, i have crashed a game changing a contract starting date to be later than it finished, things like that you have to be careful about, but outwith that this years version is very stable.
