Do sons come through youth acadamies?

Here is a welsh newgen, Nicky Legg. I spotted his name in my news items due to his unsual surname and it immediately made me think of Andy Legg, the ex-Cardiff and Peterborough player who is now manager of Llanelli. Now, Nicky Legg came through the academy at United in 2016; Andy Legg had retired from the game by this point and was never a coach at Man United but Nicky Legg has him listed as a favoured person. It might be an obvious question, but can sons of managers come through the game then? I do remember reading about it some 4-5 years ago but I don't think it was ever confirmed and this is the first I have ever seen of this.

Yes- there are newgens who are generated as managers' sons and, yes, your own son can turn up in an academy. It isn't very likely and doesn't happen often, but people have posted screens of their newgen sons.

Legg isn't that uncommon a surname. But it does look like this guy is Andy Legg's son.

I'm not saying there aren't people with that name; the name just stuck out because I haven't often seen or heard it. I checked my save file's DB and he's the only person with the surname Legg. Clegg was far more common.
