Error: Football Manager 2012 is already running. HELP!!

Recommended Posts

I've recently changed from vista to windows 7 on my laptop, so obviously I had to clear my hard drive etc.

I've re-installed steam etc. and when I go to run FM I get this error message.

I go on the control pannel and can see fm.exe in the processes, but can't see it at all on my screen.

Hopefully someone can help because i'm desperate to get back to playing again!!

Thanks :)

Well the obvious answer is close it from the control panel.

I had this the other day on windows 7. I just re-started the pc and re-started Steam agin and it was fine.

I've re-started numerous times, as well as re-installing steam and FM but still nothing.

Yes I have, just tried it once more and still no luck :(

Well the obvious answer is close it from the control panel.
So obvious i've done it more times then I can remember haha!

Seriously tho does anyone know what I can do to fix this, very frustrating!

Couple of other suggestions that sometimes help - run windows update and make sure you're up to date and also make sure you're running the latest version of DirectX.

If you are, can you follow the advice here and let us see the results:

ive had exactly the same issue, sent my dxdiag report to customer support - is that all i can do now?

Presumbly you have gone through all the related threads and tried the various remedies e.g latest drivers, reinstall steam, clear cache, check integrety of files etc?

If so, and no luck hopefully SI support may have other suggestions? Good luck.
