When does everyone think the first big patch will come out as previous versions they have had 11.2 and 10.2 released by now so a bit delayed this season.

That's complete bull! Get your facts right mate!

The patch cycle has changed in the last few years, but is essentially the same as its always been. There is a first patch (since release) which is currently around mid December, this was however once upon a time around late November. In terms of past releases:

FM07 - 30/11

FM08 - 22/11

FM09 - 19/12

FM10 - 17/12

FM11 - 16/12

From the above you can clearly see the current trend. Here we are of course referring to the first patch proper and not the release day patch which lead to a different naming method. The reason that some versions had patch numbers like 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 or 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 is because the release day patch was 10.1 in the case of FM10. In this case however we have 12.0.1, 12.0.2 and all the way upto 12.0.4 at the moment. From this we can conclude that a patch is likely during the next 2-3 weeks.

I'd also point out that 10.2 was released on the 17/12 and 11.2 was released on the 16/12, with it currently being the 2/12 we can safely say that we are not behind schedule. Here it is important to note that as pointed out these 10.2 and 11.2 were different in that they were the first major patches with 10.1 being the release day patch, however 12.0.2 was the release day patch and we've had two smaller patches (12.0.3 and 12.0.4) since then. The next major one, the equivalent of 10.2 and 11.2 will likely be released as mentioned in a fortnight or so, which is on schedule if we are going on previous years.

Finally, the winter window patch usually comes out in February and this has had different names over the years, but is generally the last patch they make. Whether its referred to as X.2 or X.3 makes very little difference as its always around the same time. In previous years it was:

FM07 - 21/2

FM08 - 14/2

FM09 - 26/2

FM10 - 1/3

FM11 - 8/3

Here there is a clear trend in previous years that its been coming out later and later, but there is no reason to think this will continue. I'd expect to see it in the last week of February, but you never know.

Overall your claim that we are behind schedule for the patches is wrong in many ways. We are if anything ahead of schedule with more hotfix patches than any other year so far and your claim seems to have been fuelled by a misunderstanding of the numbering system. Further more your direct claim that 10.2 and 11.2 were actually released by this point of the year is false with both being released in mid December. Overall we are on schedule and should expect a patch in the next fortnight or so.

That's probably as good as an indication as I've seen. No set date but possibly in the next few weeks.

As the current game is quite functional and stable compared to previous .0 versions, there isn't as much demand for an urgent patch as there might otherwise be, obviously most people will be happy to see the proposed tweaks.
