Install via steam on Mac

So it took me since game release until now to purchase and eventually get my hands on the new FM - I live in South Africa. Finally got the game today, didn't get a chance to install in on my mac until about 22h00. Its now 23h50 and the game still isn't installed.

Thanks SI for using Steam. What a useless exercise that is trying to get the game installed via Steam. Server that needs to be connected to to dowload the Steam file kept timing out or cutting out before I could download the entire file. Of course you then need to download from scratch again.. The joy.

Eventually got steam downloaded and then struggled with creating an account. Mac + steam does not seem to be a good combination. In any event 2 hours later and still not able to play the game, heck its not even installed yet.

Ive been playing this game since the championship manager 94 days but if this is what its like trying to legally purchase and install a game then funk that Ill find something else to occupy my time with.

FM13, you just lost a customer. And I suspect Im not the only one.

I have a 6 year old iMac and I downloaded steam, the game, installed and was playing within 1.5 hours...

Sorry your experience was bad but for many, many, many people (the overwhelming majority) its been nothing short of perfect.

Steam is perfectly capable of resuming partial downloads. If you have to 'download from scratch again' when your internet cuts out, there's something weird happening.

(ftr, I use a mac, so this isn't a platform issue)

Thanks for the advice guys. Was just frustrated. Thankfully now up and running. Taking some time to get used to the new layout and all the additional bits and pieces so at least the story has a happy ending..
