billytuppy
How well would this laptop handle the game? How many leagues? Will it handle the 3d match engine?
Smurf
Absolutely no idea. Someone running simliar spec would be able to tell you.
alexyfoot
Judging by my older gen i5 - you should be able to run 7-8 leagues at 3.5-4 stars. In theory you can run 30 for example but it will be slow as hell You won't have problems with the 3D side of the game.
alexyfoot
Actually it may come down to 3 stars with 8 leagues, someone with the processor should ideally tell you...
billytuppy
Seems like the Fujitsu laptop is the way to go. Thought the integrated graphics might cause an issue with the 3d match engine. Not wanting to run many leagues 8-10 perhaps.
alexyfoot
3D should run well enough (just not on perfect detail, I have even decreased the details on my external graphics so that the temperatures come down). 8-10 leagues with High database will definitely be in the 2.5-3 stars performance range. On FM12 you can add leagues later in the game so you don't need to run so many leagues all the time Don't worry about FM12 performance, should be quite good for the price you pay. Smurf
I don't think I've ever seen an i3 processor with a separate graphics card. The i3 Processor I linked to in the Fujitsu model is 2nd generation Sandybridge - so the graphics are handled withing the processor. It's pretty good model. But for an extra 100 - 150 you could get an i5 processor with a decent graphics card.
alexyfoot
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html - here are the sort of games you can run on the integrated graphics. FM12 is not a heavy 3D action game, so no worries if you can't spend more

Might have to take the wife to task for a few extre pennies.
Smurf
It will be worth it. Even the 4 weeks silence treatment. Plus that gives you extra time to play Fm12
