At this point, it should automatically remove from short list and also unsubscribe me from the player. Or at the very least, if it is showing me a player I have subscribed to - then put a button at the end of the article that says "Unsubscribe". If I've just bid for somebody, they're a player I'd like in my squad. I'll probably still be interested in signing them 6 months/a year later if they don't settle at the new club. There's already a 'subscribe' drop-down menu at the top of each news item, where you can subscribe/unsubscribe from players/clubs/etc mentioned in the news item.
