Game unavailable through steam

Hi peeps, i've searched the forums for a fix and I've tried reinstalling both steam and fm2012 as well as verifying the game cache but i STILL can't get it working - now I don't condone piracy but its a bit ironic that a friend of mine pirated fm2011 and didn't have any problems playing yet i've legitimately bought the game and haven't been able to play for the last 2days!!

I would highly advise to avoid any talk of piracy if you want proper help on here.

First off, what is your issue, secondly, what exactly have you tried to get the game to work? Are you on a PC or MAC?

sorry I'm just extremely frustrated that I can't get the game to work - I don't condone piracy. I'm on a PC, and when I try to start the game I get an error message stating 'steam error, the game is unavailable at the moment'. I've searched the forums and I believe there a quite a few users who have had this problem. The 'fixes' i have tried are to verify the game cache, reinstalling steam and to re-download fm2012.

Regardless, it will not help your cause to mention it in any context.

Have you tried changing your region on steam?

thanks I've tried most of the steps - just going through all of them now

is steam actually downloading an update thus the reason for you unable to run the game ?

Have you also tried to log into your steam account on a different computer and tried to run FM12 on a different computer ?
