Player search screen is very very slow

Every time I pushed the player search screen, it spends like 2 mins or more before the screen approaches.

Can anyone knows how to solve this issue?

Its first occurred at the end of my third season with Sheff Wed getting promoted to Premiere League

I understand that I've loaded a very large data base (far exceed than system recommended) but I could play it without any problems in FM11 and all the previous versions.

Is there anyway to solve this without playing a new game and decrease the data base?

My spec

CPU : Intel q6600@3.00GHz

Memory : 6 GB

OS : Win 7 x64

I have exactly the same problem!

It is very slow, even for those of us with very powerful processors, RAM, and even SSD. But it wasn't much better on FM 10 either, for me. Still, 2 minutes is a very long time ... for me it can take up to 15 seconds, and I think that is slow enough; I have the largest database and all european leagues + brasil and argentina playable. Intel Core i7 920 processor, 6 Gb RAM, and a SSD harddisk.

The workaround is to delete a large number of scout reports (which takes ages). Not ideal, but it does speed it up considerably.

I dint have any scout reports.

Anyway, already solve the problem:

1) clear the game cache

2) went to preferences-> display & sound and:

2.1) untick the "use skin cache" box

2.2) tick the "always reload skin on confirm" box

3) went to the player search screen and untick the "unrealistic transfers" box

Dont ask me why, but since i did this, now my players search screen is superfast (2 seconds to show up 155.000 players)
