Managing in the olympics

I've read a couple of posts where people managed a team during the olympic games. How do you get to do that? Do you have to be a national team manager? Would love to manage GB if possible.

im team gb manager and have just reached the final in which ive got to face spain , lets hope i can bring home the gold medal

i got the job too - its quiet hard to pick your team without picking alot of players from england i found - i really tried hard not to do so but the quailty of the younger players from the other home nations isnt quite up to scatch

If you choose another country you should get the option every time the Olympics come around, but Britain will not have a team in every 4 years thankfully.

Think it stupid way other FA have reacted off this when FIFA come out said won't any effect Indiviual national teams. Plenty of example where this works speiclally in Rugby so can't see why can't in Football. I think it about time we had Great Britain team for Olymplics about only sport we not represnted in is the Olympics.

There are a few other threads outlining the worries i wont bog another one down with them. But no, after next year GB wont have another team, not unless something drastic changes. Its a mickey mouse footballing tournament anyway. Olympics are about other sports football should stay out of them, football has enough exposure as it is without stealinlg limelight away from other sports.

Don't agree. As every football stars have said it honor to win Gold at Olypmics and chance to play at such prestige tournament.

You have to qualify to get to the olympics, ie, Spain winning the Under 21s qualified them for the games. As GB won't compete in any other competitions they won't appear again unless the home nations host it. you can't simply enter a team randomly.
