Why do all the threads about Steam keep getting locked?

Surely SI and Sega are man enough to take a bit of criticism and I would have thought they would be glad for all the feedback. All that locking the threads seems to do is when somebody new comes in with a problem they just start a new thread.

I know this thread will probably get locked as well, but it's a legitimate question, all it seems to be doing is annoying those who want to vent a bit of anger and those who don't have Steam issues because they have to wade through all the Steam threads, but I guess it's your forum and if you want to keep filling it up with locked threads giving negative feedback about Steam then that's up to you.

Because unfortuantely people can't respect others' points of view and it just turns into a slanging match. The 'Constructive Criticism of Steam' thread lasted for 7 pages and a week and a half until it degenerated into insults so it's unfair to say SI and Sega aren't 'man enough'.

I agree some of them do, but about 15 of the last 20 threads locked in this forum relate to Steam and most of them haven't ended in a slanging match, some haven't even had a reply and they've been locked.

Threads asking for help will be helped.

Threads that are just ranting will be closed.
