Player of the Year award (Bug?)

Hi,

How does the player of the year award work? Doesn't the player with the highest average rating win this?

My player (Jacob Mulenga) at FC Utrecht had the highest average rating over more than 30 games and didn't win it. He wasn't even in the top 3 while he won the topscorer of the year award though. I also won young player of the year and manager of the year so I would be super happy to win them all lol but to my dissapointment 3 players who didn't even were in the top of the average rating category were placed 1, 2 and 3.
