Homesick Players

I just had two of my three January signings come to me and tell me they are homesick. The first i offered a leave of absence as i had backup in his area, but the second i was struggling in his position for injuries so i told him to just ride it out.

Now he has poor morale, which i expected. But his value dropped from £1.7m before the conversation to just £250k after it, i don't think i have ever seen this before, is it meant to happen? If it is it seems silly to me, the guy just isn't settling in his new city it's not like he pulled a Tevez on me so i don't see why his value should have decreased so dramatically.
