master1121
Has this ever happen to anyone else. I have been skipping matches against teams that I have a good chance of winning and play only matches when I need to. At the end of the year my assistant coach wins the manager of the year. I was surprise by the outcome however it seem I an still in good terms with the chairman since he gave me a better contract. I guess you do not have to be head coach to win manager of the year. SWaRFeGa
If you're skipping matches - then you're not really the manager! http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/280678-Asst.-manager-now-receives-awards
Eddie888
So Harry Redknapp is gonna be out for a month or two because of his heart surgery...does that mean he wont get credit for the matches that take place without him.... I have never IRL seen an assistant get awards for Manager of the Month/Year, so I don't know why SI is making up new rules...so I am against this "feature". I think this is actually a bug!! JackInDerBox
Well I do not seem to recall a manager being able to go on holiday mid season either so it is perfectly reasonable to suggest the assistant manager would get MoTY if the real manager decided to go to Marbella for weeks at a time during the season. Wiitastic
how about Phil Thompson at Liverpool when Gerard Houllier had health problems ? I remember Thompson went quite well, no awards thought from memory
phnompenhandy
^this. If Spuds won all their matches while Harry's out, why shouldn't Joe Jordan collect the gong? Seems reasonable.
Rb
So Harry Redknapp is gonna be out for a month or two because of his heart surgery...does that mean he wont get credit for the matches that take place without him.... Yes, Joe Jordan would get Manager of the month.
milnerpoint
You have to be managing the team to win manager of the year/month.
