Getting the most out of your database size

The recommended database size on my fm 12 is 75,000 and I am wondering what to custom setup to run in order to get good regens to make a long term save viable.

I am currently looking at:

Running the Premier League

Having players based in nations from:

Argentina

Brazil

England

Italy

Spain

and players from top division clubs:

France

Germany

Holland

This gives me 79,000 players.

Having players from top division clubs in all these nations gives me around 36,000.

Do any of you have any advice on setups to make a long term save viable while maintaining reasonable running speed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
