Scouts suggested price on co-owned players

When my scout tells me "A bid at at least £6.5M may be necessary....." to buy a co-owned player, should I bid half(£3.25M) to each of the co-owners or £6.5M to each?

Half to each.

Did so, but now it seems nothing happens when i place my bid (doesn't say i have placed a bid on his profile + in my transfer centre). Another weird thing is when i right click on the players name I can't go to the "Transfers & Contracts >" sub-menu. It's like this on all co-owned players apparently.

Have anyone successfully bought a co-owned player in FM 2012?

I've noticed that you can't always bid to co-owned players and that menu doesn't show up, i think it happens when a decision of the ownership is due on the end of the season, after that you can normally bid on the player.

A shame since this guy has a very low asking price and is a bargain. Guess there's nothing i can do.

For those that can't bid on co-owned players, look at contract details and check if one of the teams (usually the team with playing rights) has an agreed price clause. It may be treating them like players on loan (if there is an agreed price no other team can bid til loan term ends)

I would check but have an fm12 Italy save atm
