Installation problem

Hello guys, need a little bit help in the installation of fm.

I have bought the CD and tried to install it yesterday. The initital installation goes fine but when it tries to download the update from steam, when the download reaches almost the end, it gives me a message that you need to be connected to internet to download update from steam while Im actually connected.

I have a Mac btw.

Thanks Guitar man, but to be more clear this is the problem:

I have a Mac but I have this installation problem with Steam. I have the disc version and when I successfully completed installing FM, then a box appears which says "Downloading Update from Steam". Download actually goes fine until it is about to finish then it gives me a message like "you need to be connected to internet for software update to complete from steam" where as I'm actually connected and my internet is working fine.

I have tried reinstalling and installing again but I get the same message therefore I cannot complete the steam download and without steam you can't play the game this time.

Would apprecaite any help please???

What happens when you try to verify the game cache as in the stage above? thats the only thing i can think of to try? others may come up with something else. Your other option I would say is to contact steam support: https://support.steampowered.com/ or to log a bug report in the FM bug forums to see if they can help you from this side
