I know I forfeited my go with the Softies previous to dafuge, but I now have some spare time on my hands over the weekend and fancy another crack at this. Would it possible to take my go now, as nobody else seems to be forthcoming, or would I have to go to the back of the list?

I don't want to seem like I'm trying to jump the queue or whatever, and if anyone currently on the list wants to go I have no problem with that.

Dave - I don't see a problem with it. Although, if you download the file and have the same problem as Mikel let us know. Hopefully Mikel can get back in afterwards if it corrects itself.

Rlip - I kinda forgot to sign him after no-one replied to that point, not 100% sure about him but the scouts were raving. Rude not to sign him at that price.

Could I just say Jimbo that I really didn't have enough time, I'd just started my Sociology and ICT coursework which is now finished which is why I'm back on the list. Also note to whoever runs this, I have my laptop back so I will be able to take over as soon as dave finishes.

The local council has denied planning permission for our ground improvements. :thdn:

Also, I'm receiving bids right, left and centre for almost every player! I'm planning on keeping pretty much the same squad and maybe making the odd signing where I see fit.

The bids are quite poor as well to be honest, around the £10m mark. Think I'll be holding onto both of them.

Legend FC - July

Just used this month to familiarise myself with the players. We have a very strong team and I intend to keep all the key players at the club. As I've mentioned previously I was receiving bids on a daily basis for nearly every player, which was annoying. So annoying that I changed the status to "reject all bids".

Pre-season games

Friendlies (http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/7489/friendlysil3.jpg)

A good solid pre-season, everyone is fit and morale is good.

Transfers

Colinet - £0 (http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/5840/colinetmt3.jpg)

Vinicius - £700k (http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/589/viniciuslp2.jpg)

Both youngsters, brought in for the future. No major signings, in or out.

August

Legends vs Derby (http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/7444/fishderbylg4.jpg)

A great win, dominated the game and we were unlucky with the own goal.

Legends vs Birmingham (http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/3020/fishbirxa2.jpg)

Fantastic. Can't really say more than that.

Bolton vs Legends (http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/6914/fishboltqh5.jpg)

A good solid win, controlled the game and it seemed all too easy.

Swindon vs Legends (http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/4918/fishswinqp3.jpg)

I have no idea how we lost, we had the chances but couldn't take them and they could.

Legends vs Reading. (http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1932/fishreadwz7.jpg)

"We always win 6-0..." . Carbon copy of the Birmingham game, could've been 9 or 10.

Overall a fantastic month and we sit 1st in the table.

I'm going out now, but I'll do an update tomorrow on the first XI etc. and the next couple of months.

Ten Ton - August Update....

Premier League

Ten Ton 2 - 3 Portsmouth
Willian 6
Rasmussen 56

tough game first up vs champions... was an even game, in wich Penarrubia missed a penalty too. not too disheartened...

Ten Ton 2 - 0 West Brom
Benoit 50
Richardson 87

took a long time to break the Baggies down. Dominated the game, and should have won by more.

Norwich 1 - 3 Ten Ton
Da Silva 32, 53
Benoit 34

another dominant performance.

Hull 0 - 0 Ten Ton.

Awful result. never got going. ha more posession but couldn't even get a shot on target....

So, August saw us 7th in the league, 3 points off the top. Handed a tough draw in Chmapions League, with Inter Milan, Sevilla and CSKA Sofia our opponents. will be tough.

will post more updates later (i am a bit further into season.) will also post my signings when i get a chance. but these are the transfers... (http://img66.imageshack.us/my.php?image=summertransferscd5.jpg)

Legend FC - September

The transfer window shut, with no major signings made. Sold Frantisek Stepanek for £6m in the only transfer out of the club.

Discovered this guy who came through our ranks - David Ross (http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=davidrosskh0.jpg)

Probably one of the best players to come through our ranks, assistant thinks he will go on to be a leading premiership midfielder. I've decided to give him the odd run out this season.

Sunderland vs Legends (http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/7282/fishsundgt7.jpg)

Draw was probably a fair result to be honest.

Elfsborg vs Legends (http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/5531/fishelfsqq2.jpg)

All too easy, we had way too much for them.

Legends vs Burnley (http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/3428/fishburnsx3.jpg)

Outclassed them totally, comedy of errors for their goal but I can't be too harsh.

Reading vs Legends (http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/9881/fishreadcupro6.jpg)

Slightly "weakened" team saw us through comfortably to the next round of the League Cup.

Chelsea vs Legends (http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/1047/fishchelux4.jpg)

Fantastic win. A win at Stamford Bridge is always a good one. Their goalie was man of the match as well, so it could've been more.

October

Legends vs Elfsborg (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/9836/fishelfs2wd8.jpg)

Gave the second string a run out, a howler by Mark Wallington (2nd choice goalie) gifted them a goal but apart from that it was a decent performance.

Our UEFA Cup group consists of;

Fiorentina
Leverkusen
M.Netanya
Red Star Belgrade

Legends vs Arsenal (http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/2130/fisharsefh0.jpg)

Really good win, an important one too as they are going to be in the title hunt, and are probably the strongest team in the league on paper. Gave them a good beating too.

Aston Villa vs Legends (http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/3276/fishvillafb1.jpg)

Great character, we dominated the first half but couldn't score. We then conceded and went down to 10, only to mount a fantastic comeback.

Legends vs Red Star (http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/603/fishredstarbp4.jpg)

Strange match, they played very well in the first half and we played very well in the second.

Legends vs Wigan (http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/2711/fishwiganqf8.jpg)

Business as usual.

Spurs vs Legends (http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/2949/fishspurscupix5.jpg)

Unbelievable result to be honest. We had 34 shots, with 19 on target. Spurs are the current champions and one of the strongest teams in the league.

The Table looks like this - Table (http://img385.imageshack.us/my.php?image=leagueoctwo6.jpg) (also played one game of November, which we lost). Going pretty well, got plenty of points on the board and a nice cushion to 2nd. We're scoring lots and lots of goals and are keeping it pretty tight at the back too. We're doing well in the cups too.

He looks great, we must do all we can to make sure he is brought through the ranks well. He could become a club legend.

Slobodan Milosevic scored against me as well :D

Kovarik seems to be scoring a lot for a defender, are they all from corners?

He could, we need to nurture him well.

I got a little laugh at Milosevic too. :D

I don't know why he is scoring so many, he's playing at RB and my full backs are very attacking. But he's scored maybe 8 or 9 from corners and free-kicks and the others from open play. I'm not using the corner "tactic" in case anyone is wondering. His heading and jumping are both 20 so maybe that's why. I'm not complaining either way :D

Ten Ton FC - New Players

As promised, heres a run down of the new stars for Ten Ton:

Keita (http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?image=keitaey6.jpg) - Attacking Midfielder. to give more competition in an attacking midfield role...
Fernandes (http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fernandesfreeportoth4.jpg) - on our shortlist, this young Portugese keeper signed from Porto will provide back-up.
Meier (http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?image=meier18anderlechtig7.jpg) - young german midfielder signed to add strength in depth. rated as a decent prospect. Signed from Anderlecht for £1.8 million.
Andreu (http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=andreu35barcaty9.jpg) - originally found by bermy, this exciting young Spanish winger was signed from Barcelona for £3.5million. one for the future for sure...
Garofalo (http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?image=garofalo34milanle8.jpg) - promising Italian striker signed from AC Milan for £3.4 million. Another for the future, able potentially to be almost as good as Benoit.
Maggi (http://img442.imageshack.us/my.php?image=maggi525sampeh1.jpg) - young Italian RB signed from Sampdoria for £5.25 million. Massive potential. Already a few Italian caps at 19. potential to be a leading Premiership RB.
Chul-Woo (http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=woo145atalantasv8.jpg) - My 'main' signing at £14.5 million from Atalanta. Paid a bit over the odds but will pay for himself in shirt sales in S.Korea, according to the media. Knows how to hit the back of the net.

the only player sold of note has been Steve Ramsey. We are strong in the GK department, and even though i liked him, it was decent money and enabled me to sign Maggi.

so that's it, the latest players to pull on the famous white shirt. hopefully they can do the business for us.

Those guys look good to me, los of potential there. I think we're at a stage that it's hard to actually improve the team, just need to bring players through for the future. Chul-Woo does look like he could be awsome though. How do the scouts reckon he compares to Benoit? Thinking of offloading any strikers now?

Good money for Ramsay, represents a quick profit, think he only cost £1.5m. He wasn't happy at not getting a game but wasn't good enough to justify playing him ahead of the other two, so excellent business.

To all: could you check that if you expect to be on the list (http://community.sigames.com/showpost.php?p=677582&postcount=2), you are actually on it? There's been a lot of juggling of it recently.

Also, the Softies are maybe a bit short of numbers, does anyone else want a crack at it?

yeah, it is proving difficult to find players to improve our squad. that did surprise me a little - hats off to those who compiled the squad. that is why i looked for potential. Chul-Woo is our top goalscorer so far, with 7. Am pleased with him so far. As for trimming the strikers, i am looking to release one in January. Not sure who though yet. Kucernak isn't really playing and Carrilho is only a bit-part player. Richardson, the youngster is actually scoring a couple and has pushed himself into contention too. Jimbo will also be pleased to know that Bandito has almost secured the first-choice AMC role ;)

am actually now up to the start of November in the game. i will post a brief summary of the time to date, in order to catch up, before then picking up with the more detailed updates. i had a busy weekend so prioritised playing the game over writing the reports.......

Ten Ton FC - September & October Update - Season 2029/30

so, as i said, a summary of September and October's events....

In the Premier League, we sit 5th after 11 games. our record is 5-1-4, which is too many defeats really. we are about 7 points off the top, but are in the chasing pack to Everton who have made a break for it. we're dominating most games but are struggling a little to put the ball in the net. really frustrated with Benoit as he just isn't performing for me as yet. given him a bit of a bit of a kick up the arse, which he responded positively to, so hopefully he'll pick up a bit. Da Silva is more hit than miss and Chul-Woo can't be relied upon to score in every match.

In the Champions league we lost 2-0 away at Sevilla in the first game which was a bit disappointing. we never really got going. Next up was Inter Milan at home and a famous 2-1 home win. Dominated the match and once more our strikers prevented us making the scoreline more comprehensive. Third up was CSKA Sofia at the Solihull Moors Stadium and we won 2-0 after labouring away for much of the match without scoring. Overall pretty pleased with it to date and hopefully another win over CSKA will almost see us home...

The League Cup defence hasn't gone as well. We managed to beat Tottenham in the 3rd round, but have just lost away at Man City. although disappointing not to defend our trophy i am foucsing on the league and Europe so it's one less distraction i guess.

On the player front, the current starting line-up is:

GK: Gordillo
RB: Burg
LB: Langlois / Penarrubia
CB: Cook
CB: Meijer
RM: William / Pinheiro
LM: Penarrubia / Watson
CM: Sanchez / Crnomarkovic
AMC: Keita / Bandito
CF: Chul-Woo / Da Silva
CF: Benoit

i initially started with MCCombe in goal, but a few poor games saw him lose the starting spot. I gave Langlois a game in rotation at LB and he has excelled there so has stayed in the team. Watson is sulking at the moment at not being aloud to move (he's missed training twice...) so i have been playing Penarrubia in LM with some success. I have had really bad luck with injuries in CM, with Sanchez, Martins and Crnomarkovic all out at one stage. Sanchez is still injured. In AMC, Bandito has been playing really well in Europe but is not so impressive in the League, with him and Keita rotating. Ejiri has also played a few games.

That's me pretty much caught up now. the stadium expansion has been completed, with capacity now around 23,500. still not enough as we are selling this out now but it's a bit more income. i have requested our youth training facilites be updated and the board agree something needs to be done. We shall see.

Legend FC - Update

I've been focusing more on playing the game, rather than updating regularly as my time is quite sparse, so please excuse this less detailed update.

November

Portsmouth 1 - 2 Legends

Leverkusen 0 - 5 Legends - UEFA Cup Group

Legends 3 - 0 Leeds

Newcastle 2 - 1 Legends

Overall, a reasonable month apart from the Newcastle defeat. The win in Germany was fantastic, we destoryed them convincingly.

December

Legends 5 - 2 Norwich

Legends 4 - 0 Fiorentina - UEFA Cup Group

Man Utd 0 - 2 Legends

Swindon 1 - 3 Legends - League Cup Quater Final

Spurs 0 - 2 Legends

M.Netanya 2 - 5 Legends - UEFA Cup Group

Liverpool 2 - 1 Legends

Legends 5 - 1 Fulham

A very busy month, which tested our squad. 7 wins out of 8 was a great effort. The wins at White Hart Lane and Old Trafford were pleasing. The home games are almost a formality. The defeat to Liverpool was unlucky, and a big one. They are 3rd in the table and one of our closest rivals. The two european wins were easy, we were a class apart.

January

Birmingham 0 - 2 Legends

Aston Villa 2 - 0 Legends - FA Cup 3rd Round

Legends 4 - 1 Bolton - League Cup Semi Final Leg 1

Legends 1 - 1 Bolton

Derby 2 - 2 Legends

Bolton 4 - 2 Legends - League Cup Semi Final Leg 2

Legends 3 - 1 Swindon

We stuttered our way through January, with fatugue and injuries taking their toll. Very disappointed to lose in the FA Cup at such an early stage. We just didn't show up for the game. But at the same time, I'm delighted to be in the final of the League Cup, where we will face Ipswich, a team languishing in the bottom realms of the Championship. I would be surprised if we didn't lift the cup for the second year in a row to be honest.

February

Reading 0 - 1 Legends

Burnley 2 - 4 Legends

AZ 2 - 1 Legends - UEFA Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 1

Legends 5 -1 AZ - UEFA Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 2

League Cup Final (http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/7871/leaguecupqt2.jpg)

A fantastic performance, and great to win some silverware for the club. They couldn't manage a shot on goal. Gave David Ross a start and he finished up with a goal and an 8 rating. Great stuff.

Legends 3 - 0 Sunderland

Great month, with 3 wins in the league, progression in the UEFA Cup and of course the League Cup win. We are in great form.

The Squad

Squad Stats (http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/8471/squadstatslp9.jpg)

Everybody playing well, and we have goals being scored from every area of the field.

Star man (http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/7973/ederpl8.jpg)

Phenomenal player and having an unbelievable season from the right wing. First name on the team sheet.

David Ross (http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/4813/davidrossql4.jpg)

The best product to come out of our youth academy. Been giving him the odd game here and there and he's never let me down. Played 90 minutes in the league cup final and scored. I keep forgeting he's only 16. Came on leaps and bounds this season and is going to be a club legend.

League Table (http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/3740/leagueog5.jpg)

Going very well. 6 point gap and superior goal difference. Home record is great with 11 wins and 1 draw. Hopefully we can maintain our form until the end of the season! :D

He's in the reserves, assistant thinks he's championship standard but could become a decent premiership player. He wont play while I'm the manager, but he might break into the first team picture next year. If he's not good enough then, he'll probably not have a future at the club.

Rlip - can't argue with your player selections too much (apart from Ejiri, but don't want to sound like a broken record ;)). Not sure why the lack of goals. I had the problem at one stage last season, Carrilho needed a rocket from me in the press to get going, but once he did, didn't look back. Hopefully that's true of Benoit, as he's by far the best of the lot there.

Dave - You've no striker???? Seems a pretty interesting formation....

No striker, just a player in the AMC position with a forward arrow, plus the two wingers with arrows into the FC position. It's a very weird tactic but it works, probably the best one I've made.

Interesting, do you think that is why Eder is scoring so many?

It also could explain why I haven't spotted the Hox on the scoresheet very often.

Possibly, cause Kunkel is more of a provider, whereas Eder is effectively a striker.

The Hox doesn't really fit into the system, so he's had to settle for a place on the bench. It's a shame to see Hoxha, Jose and Law all go to waste but we're winning and that's all that matters.

Shame we can't take the Hox off you for a season, looks like we could do with him...

Funnily enough, I noticed in our game that Newcastle have an absolutely amazing right back, 20's all over the place, worth about £18m....but they play a 3-5-2 and he doesn't get a game. Got about 3 sub appearences all last season. I was thinking it was unrealistic for the AI to freeze out someone who's probably their best player, but I guess it's all about finding a system that works.

Rlip - can't argue with your player selections too much (apart from Ejiri, but don't want to sound like a broken record ;)). Not sure why the lack of goals. I had the problem at one stage last season, Carrilho needed a rocket from me in the press to get going, but once he did, didn't look back. Hopefully that's true of Benoit, as he's by far the best of the lot there.

he's still getting a few games!!! ;) i will do the November update tonight when i get home as i forgot to bring it with me  but Benoit has started scoring regularly now \o/

Legend FC - Update

Again, apologies for the less detailed updates.

March

Legends 2 - 0 Chelsea

Besiktas 0 - 2 Legends - UEFA Cup 2nd Knockout Round Leg 1

Legends 4 - 1 Besiktas - UEFA Cup 2nd Knockout Round Leg 2

Legends 0 - 0 Aston Villa

Arsenal 3 - 2 Legends

Wigan 1 - 3 Legends

Leeds 2 - 2 Legends

Not our greatest month, dropping 7 points. The defeat to Arsenal was massive as they are 2nd place and that win moved them to within 3 points. At least we're through to the next round of the UEFA Cup.

April

Legends 2 - 1 Chelsea - UEFA CUP Qtr Final Leg 1

Legends 0 - 0 Newcastle

Chelsea 0 - 1 Legends - UEFA CUP Qtr Final Leg 2

Legends 4 - 3 Portsmouth

Norwich 1 - 1 Legends

Legends 3 - 0 Man Utd

Arsenal 2 - 2 Legends - UEFA CUP Semi Final Leg 1

The games are coming thick and fast with us being in the UEFA Cup, at least Arsenal are in the same boat too. I can't tell you how nerve-racking the Portsmouth and Norwich games were, thought I was going to have a heart attack! Nice to get to the UEFA Cup semi final, and to avoid defeat in the first leg too, although we got a bit lucky. We need to start turning those draws into wins.

The table looks like this - Table (http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/1851/league3togosv8.jpg)

That's where I'm up to, there's three games to go in the league. Very tense at the minute, any slip up could be catastrophic. It doesn't help that we look quite suspect at the back recently.

Our run-in;

Liverpool (H)
Fulham (A)
Spurs (H)

Arsenal;

Reading (H)
Sunderland (A)
Burnley (H)

We've got the harder run in, the only game I think Arsenal might slip up in is Sunderland away. Hopefully the lads in red and white will do me a favour ;) . Liverpool and Spurs are both really good sides.

He never actually performed all that brilliantly last season either, solid but nothing more, especially when compared to William on the other side. I'd punt him for 30 - 40m + sell on if you can, and maybe look out for an up and coming replacement.

I mentioned a right back at Newcastle earlier (think he's Slovenian or something) - fancy taking a look at him to see if he's available? Not sure we need him as we have Burg, but he looks fantastic and had Worldwide rep, but was almost completely frozen out there last season.

will do. i think we can make the most money from him with the exception of Benoit and he's going nowhere. Not had much experience with William yet as he's been out injured for most of season so far along with Sanchez... :(

as for the Newcastle RB, i'll have a look at him and see what the situation is.

UEFA Cup Semi Final Leg 2

Legends vs Arsenal (http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/2972/uefasemivf6.jpg)

Great win and we're in the final, I'm sick of the sight of Arsenal and in particular Torrisi. Although to be fair they are a great team.

Game 36

Legends vs Liverpool (http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/518/game36bv7.jpg)

Arsenal 4 - 0 Reading

Disaster. We get knocked off the top of the table for the first time since match 5. Our first home defeat was confirmed by a quite fantastic free-kick. It's not in our hands anymore.

Game 37

Fulham vs Legends (http://img413.imageshack.us/my.php?image=game37gn3.jpg)

Sunderland 4 - 2 Arsenal

Yes! We battled our way to a win, with Otten scoring a wonder goal. Sunderland are a very good team (obviously ;) ) and thrashed Arsenal. It's back in our hands with only one game to go. We just need to avoid defeat at home to Spurs and we win the title...

Manager of the year - Danny Roberts.

Overall, a fantastic season. A bit of a roller coaster at times but very enjoyable. I think we thoroughly deserved to win the league as we were top for so long. We scored the most goals, conceded the fewest and won the most games. Worthy Champions.

The League Cup and UEFA Cup wins were bonuses, although at times they were a bit of a nuisance.

Tips for the next manager :-

There isn't really much you can do to improve the team, there isn't really a weak link anywhere. The only position I tried to sign a player in was DR as we don't have an attack minded one, but Kovarik rose to the challenge, although I see him as more of a DC.

There's also a lot of good young talent coming through. Make sure you look after David Ross, as he is one of our own  . Give him some games now and then to help his progression as he is going to be good.

Oh, and good luck! :D

Going to get uploading soon...

Ten Ton FC - November Update

short month this onth, with only 4 games played:

Stoke 3 - 2 Ten Ton FC
Benoit 47, 67

the game where i changed my formation. losing 2-0 at half-time, i have reverted to an adapted version of bermy's 442 attacking formation. played much better second half. a brace for Benoit too.

CSKA Sofia 0 - 3 Ten Ton FC
Benoit 23, 69
Burg 77

a great away win. CSKA threatened early on but once we got infront it was game over. gives us 9 points in the group, needing only a point away at Inter or home to Sevilla...

Southampton 3 - 4 Ten Ton FC
Benoit 41
Chul-Woo 57, 90+3
Keita 75

talk about leaving it late!! great game although not for the nerves, Chul-Woo nicked it with almost the last kick of the game.....

Ten Ton 3 - 1 Newcastle.
Benoit 48, 68, 88
Chul-Woo s/o 42

Great win - one i was really pleased with. according to the record books Newcastle are one of our bogey teams so to be them so conviningly was great for morale, especially given the sending off.

So, all in all a good month for Ten Ton. up to 5th in the league but only 4 points off the top. we're in contention again. and 8 goals in 4 games for Benoit!! who said he was crap?? ;)

Bermy - i have been relying heavily on Pinheiro and he's done really well. 1st choice RM in his absense.

Ten Ton FC - December Update

a busy month of matches in December with the champions league group completion combined with the league:

Ten Ton 3 - 1 Sevilla
Chul-Woo 8
Sanchez 34
Keita 45

qualification was secured with this dominant home win. A plus was the goal-scoring return of Cedric Sanchez

Wigan 0 - 0 Ten Ton

Bore draw. bitterly disappointed as played against 10 men for 70 minutes. a definate setback

Ten Ton 3 - 1 Man United
Benoit 33
Sanchez 43
Richardson 80

A good win. were never really troubled in this game that boosted our title chances a little after the setback vs Wigan.

Inter Milan 3 - 2 Ten Ton
Bandito 31
Chul-Woo 90+4

not overly disappointed with the result, as we played well and i had made a few team changes with qualification assured. Andreu made his debut as a second half substitute and played well.

Tottenham 3 - 3 Ten Ton
Cook 8
Benoit 57, 78

another end to end match, which was ultimately a little disappointing. Spurs are struggling in the league and we failed to capitalise on this.

Everton 1 - 0 Ten Ton

a disappointing result against one of our chief title rivals who were second in the league.. never really got going and our strikers offered little once more.

Ten Ton 3 - 0 Chelsea
Benoit 45
Da Silva 67
Keita 70

another comprehensive win which shows our Jekyll & Hyde performances. totally dominant in the match. this is the Ten Ton team i expect to see week in week out.

So as we head into January 2030, we sit 4th in the league 5 points off the top spot. its really tight at the top with a number of teams in contention. going to go down to the wire i reckon. in the champions league, we have been drawn against Porto. the first leg is at the Solihull Moors stadium. we have drawn league one Burnley in the FA Cup 3rd round...

I've accepted an offer of £9m for Luc Anziani as I don't really rate him that highly, he's 24 so he's unlikely to develop that much and he only had 1 sub game last season. I can easily cancel it though if whoever signed him is desperate for him to stay.

am mid-way through the January transfer window so i thought it'd update you on a couple of departures......

Crnomarkovic has been sold to Deportivo for £10million + 50% future fee. pleased with this as he wasn't playing much either for me or previous managers and represents an £8million profit.

Rasmussen has left for £12million to Liverpool. He was another fringer player who, whilst a good player, was expendable given the right price. We lost 35% of the fee to Brondby ( :( ) but it freed up a bit more money.

i also almost lost Le Mentec for around £8 million after the chairman accepted bids for him. offered him a new contract and managed to keep him. not a first-team regular but still only young and a quality prospect. £8million wa sa derisory offer anyway.

So what am i doing with the money? well my main target is a young Hungarian ST from Spurs. i feel we are lacking a quality target man and he fits the bill perfectly in my opinion. we're getting a lot of crosses into the box that are being missed so he might help put a few away. £14.5million is the fee. i am awaiting acceptance of the contract.

i have also lined up Schulz, a German AMLC from Arsenal as a replacement for Rasmussen and maybe Watson if he leaves. £11.5million is the fee which i feel is a bit of a bargain. The transfer is on hold while i get the money together.

i am also considering buying a Japanese DC from Portsmouth for £6.75million. A great player who would strengthen our defence. I will need to raise further funds to sign him though.

i will post screenies of my signings at the end of the transfer window...

As a heads-up for the next Monkey i aim to have the season finished on Saturday. I should be able to get in some decent game time tomorrow night and then on Saturday Morning/afternoon......

Rlip, some decent transfer moves. Surprised Da Silva hasn't done better for you up front, he's a target man type player and seemed to be coming onto a game last season.

i am too. Da Silva looks good on paper but has only scored about 5 goals so far. just hasn't happened for him. i won't sell him as he's obviously a good player but i feel i need something else.

Ten Ton FC - January Update

so i forgot to bring the paper with me of the results  but i think i can remember some of them.... results included a 0-0 away draw with Portsmouth, a 4-1 win over Burnley away in the FA Cup with a second string team, a 1-1 home draw with WBA in the 4th round, a 1-0 home win over Hull and a 3-2 away defeat at West Ham.

As a result, the table looks like this (http://img353.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tablenf3.jpg). You will notice that it's pretty close at the top so everything still to play for.

On the transfer (http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?image=transfersia8.jpg) front, a Ten Ton legend departed this month. It is a bit of a gamble by me to release him but there were reasons for it. the main reason was that his contract expires at the end of next season. i tried to offer him a new one but he was having none of it. As a result of this, coupled with the fact that he wasn't playing and his value would diminish further, i accepted a bid of £5.5m and £90k per match for 30 games. Ideally i'd have liked a bit more money for him but as discussed when i took over, he was at the stage where a slow decline might set in. Whether i am hated for this time will tell, but i have made a brave decision... :)

Two players were brought into the club this month, as mentioned previously.

Schulz (http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?image=schulzjl1.jpg) - transfer listed at Arsenal, i felt £11 million was a bit of a steal for him. A little weak physically, he has great stats in all of the key mental and technical stats. i have high hopes for him and he has made a promising start.

Fazekas (http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fazekasba1.jpg) - young Hungarian striker signed for £14.5 million from Spurs. i felt we needed a striker who was dominant in the air and Janos certainly is that. i believe that he could be another star for Ten Ton and am pleased to have got him.

I thought i'd also post the squad (http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?image=squadtv7.jpg) stats so far so you could see who had been playing etc.

with a bit of luck i can progress quickly through the remaining months over the weekend and get the season finished. hopefully with a happy ending!!

Good luck in the race for the premiership Rlip.

Good signings, i especially like the hungarian dude upfront.
I think the winger may lack pace slightly, but his technical attributes should more than make up for that!

Can't wait for my next season tbh, possibly going for retaining the title, ayyy Rlip

I haven't posted for a while in this thread, i have been following, and tbh, all i would have said would have been along the same lines as Jimbo.

A bit dissapointed i don't get to manage Carillho, especially as i signed him, but oh well, a bit of good money.

Ten Ton FC - February 2030 Update

Just five games in February, of which only 2 were in the league.

West Ham 3 - 2 Ten Ton (Premier League)
Schulz 65
Fazekas 66

disappointing result, conceding an 89th minute winner. our defensive wobbles showed their face again. a setback.

West Brom 3 - 4 Ten Ton FC (FA Cup 4th Round Replay)
Benoit 8, 55
Da Silva 18, 90+5

thrilling climax to a great game. the baggies made it 3-3 in the 90th minute and i was cursing at the computer. then we won a penalty and Da Silva took it. it was saved... but he tucked away the rebound and we were through.

Ten Ton FC 6 - 0 Southend (FA Cup 5th Round)
William 16
Schulz 45
Da Silva 59
Benoit 65
Chul-Woo 77, 85

comprehensive cup win against the league one outfit. satisfied with the performance.

Ten Ton FC 4 - 3 Porto (Champions league 1st knouckout round, leg 1)
Keita 1
William 8
Benoit 42
Da Silva 42

gutting. we were 4-0 up approaching half time and the tie was won. they nicked one on the stroke of half time and we never got going in the second half. going to be tough in the second leg

Ten Ton FC 3 - 0 Man City (premier league)
Penarrubia 40 (pen)
Benoit 43
William 49

good home win against a bogey side of ours. never really threatened, we coasted home in the second half.

as a result of this, we are still 3rd in the league 8 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. We play crystal palace in the 6th round of the FA Cup.

It might be a good idea to loan Eder out, he's still pretty young and should still be able to improve but I don't think a season on the sidelines will help him. You might even get a decent fee for a season loan.

Ten Ton FC - March Update

March was a busy month, with 8 matches played.

Ten Ton FC 2 - 1 Fulham (premier league)
Keita 2
Benoit 90

a poor performance and match, but another 3 points in the league.

Porto 5 (8) - (8) 4 Ten Ton FC (champions league 1st knockout round, 2nd leg
Benoit 30, 61
Fazekas 78
Da Silva 82

What a Game!!! we went two goals behind on two occasions, but i threw caution to the wind, went 4-3-3 and kicked it long to the target men. it worked and we went through on away goals. da silva even had the nerve to miss a penalty. my most enjoyable game of this stint so far without doubt. Milan await in the next round.

Ten Ton FC 4 - 1 Crystal Palace (FA Cup Qtr final)
Da Silva 11
Keita 45
Puelle 56
Penarrubia 68 (after saved pen)

a good win and no hangover from the Porto game, Ten Ton advance to the semis. With us, Arsenal, Norwich and Sheff Wed (:D) in the semis, i was desperate for Wednesday (and avoid arsenal) but of course, we face Arsenal in the semis.

Liverpool 3 - 3 Ten Ton FC (premier league)
William 45
Fazekas 66
Penarrubia 76 pen

a great fightback from 3-1 down, i was happy with a point as were were outplayed for large chunks of the game.

Ten Ton FC 1 - 0 Wolves (premier league)
Benoit 54

a poor game, but a win is a win.

Arsenal 2 - 1 Ten Ton FC (premier league)
Larruzea 48

the final nail in the coffin for our title chances i believe. would take a miracle to win the title now... :(

Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Ten Ton FC (premier league)
Benoit 8, 87

a scrappy win, but again it's a win. thank heavens for Benoit!

Ten Ton FC 2 - 0 Southampton (premier league)
Keita 11
Richardson 81

another win, although it was a poor game and we never really hit top form.

So, at the ned of March, Ten Ton are still third, 3 points behind Portsmouth in 2nd. however, we are now 10 points behind Arsenal with 7 games to go. maybe it'll be time to turn attention towards Champions League and FA Cup success????

Ten Ton FC - April Update

A busy month was April, with European football and cup football complimenting league football giving a busy schedule. Our season would be pretty much shaped this month.

AC Milan 3 - 2 Ten Ton FC (champions league qtr final, 1st leg)
Benoit 43, 72

A fighting performance from the Monkeys, the 2 away goals would help us try and overcome the deficit in the second leg. The tie was very much in the balance.

Ten Ton FC 3 - 4 Arsenal (FA Cup semi-final)
Benoit 27
Da Silva 33, 77

So close to the final. we gave it everything we'd got and it was a thrilling end to end game. Arsenal are rapidly turning into our bogey team (super cup win aside... ;) ) and they will meet Sheffield Wednesday, a championship team, in the final. (also my favourite team in real life....)

Ten Ton 3 - 1 AC Milan (champions league qtr final, 2nd leg)
Fazekas 14, 37
Keita 17

A famous night of european football at the Solihull Moors stadium. the tie was all over at half-time, and i just had to make sure i didn't have a repeat of the Porto game, which we didn't. semi finals here we come!!

Ten Ton FC 3 - 1 Stoke (premier league)
Benoit 76, 90
Bandito 90

oh how close we came to drawing this game!! talk about leaving it late.....

Newcastle 1 - 1 Ten Ton FC (premier league)
Cook 2

bore draw. not much more to be said really. points lost

Ten Ton FC 5 - 1 Wigan
Fazekas 1, 63
Benoit 29
Penarrubia 81 pen
Richardson 88

Dominant win in front of the home fans. Richardson popped up with another goal. could be a great prospect for the club. one to watch.

Manchester United 2 - 0 Ten Ton FC (premier league)

with the PSV semi final just 2 days later, i decided to send a second string team to old trafford. despite having most of the play, we couldn't score and we lost. Title dreams over.

Ten Ton FC 2 - 3 PSV Eindhoven (champions league semi final 1st leg)
Keita 47
Chul-Woo 90+2

disappointing. we were 2 down at half time and left ourselves with a lot to do. going to be a tough night in Holland in the 2nd leg.....

Ten Ton FC 3 - 2 Everton (premier league)
Benoit 23
Da Silva 59, 90+4

another late late winner to help with our push for 2nd place. kept us in touch with Portsmouth.

PSV Eindhoven 3 (6) - (5) 3 Ten Ton FC (champions league semi final 2nd leg)
Da Silva 47
Keita 69
Chul-Woo 72

Gutted. :( so so close to the final. went behind in the tie and had too much to do. we did lead 3-2 but conceded the crucial 3rd with around 10 mins to go. had gone long ball 4-3-3 in second half and did the business once more. but wasn't enough...

So April saw the end of our ambitions for the season. we were one goal away from the champions league final and another match against Arsenal. in the league, we couldn't win the title and Portsmouth were almost out of reach as well. April was depressing for Paul Wallace.

PaulHartman71
27-10-2008, 15:07
out of all competitions :(

still, it was a great achievement to get to the Semi final of both competitions, although equally as gutting to have come so close and not succeeded. I suppose all you need to do now is to make sure we get Champions League football next season

Ten Ton FC - May Update

May was very much an anti-climactic month, with two meaningless league matches to play.

Chelsea 2 - 2 Ten Ton FC (premier league)
Benoit 58, 82

The final nail in the coffin in our hopes for a 3rd 2nd placed finish. Ten Ton would have to settle for 3rd this season.

Ten Ton FC 3 - 0 Tottenham (premier league)
Larruzea 15
Da Silva 23
Benoit 32

a compfortable win, and the chance for a few youngsters to get a run out in the second half.

So that's it. another season gone where we were so close to titles only to fall at the end. 3rd place was our league finish, so we get another bite at Europe next season. A full review will follow shortly, and i will post the save game tonight hopefully when i get home from seeing Steve Coogan....

Ten Ton FC - Season Review - Premier League - Season 2029-30

So what started out as a promising season ultimately ended in disappointment with nothing to show other than the European Super Cup (we were the best team in Europe for a while... ;) )

Table (http://img241.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tablewr4.jpg)

As the table shows, 3rd place was the best we could manage. if i had had my tactics set at the start of the season who knows, but we were always playing catch up a bit. Arsenal were good though and we'd have done well to beat them.

in the Champions league we had a great run to the semis with some memorable matches against Porto and Milan that will live long in the minds of Ten Ton fans. If only we'd have started better against PSV who knows what we could have done. Arsenal eventually won the Champions eague for the second season running.

Another semi-final appearance in the FA Cup was a great achievement, only to have come undone against Arsenal. if we'd beaten them i'm convinced we'd have won the cup.

Not much to say about the league cup, so i won't.

Squad - GK & DEF (http://img253.imageshack.us/my.php?image=squad1hl1.jpg)
Squad - Mid & ST (http://img241.imageshack.us/my.php?image=squad2ip2.jpg)

overall a good squad performance by most players. star player was undoubtably Benoit (http://img253.imageshack.us/my.php?image=benoitmo6.jpg) who, after his sluggish start, scored almost a goal a game. A must-keep player. other players of note include Larruzea, Penarrubia, William, Keita and our supporting strikers.

Transfers (http://img377.imageshack.us/my.php?image=transfersxq2.jpg)

overall pretty happy with my signings. Keita did well in CM, Chul-Woo scored a lot of goals in the first half of the season and Fazekas showed his huge potential after arrival in January. Schulz also offered a lot going forward. Andreu, Meier and Garofalo also played bit parts and are stars of the future.

i haven't arranged too many transfers, with only Dressel (http://img253.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dressel100kqv1.jpg) (£100k) & Silva (http://img377.imageshack.us/my.php?image=silva6kjj6.jpg) (£6k + clauses) to arrive. both players with good potential and signed for little money. i'm quite excited by the young German.

>> Advice for the next 'Monkey' <<

- Keep our stars. we have had alot of interest in Benoit, Langlois, Penarrubia, Larruzea, Burg and William but in my opinion all are key players for Ten Ton. whether you agree is up to you though.
- Sell Watson and Cook. both players are unhappy and want to move to bigger clubs. Watson is also unhappy with a lack of football. i think both have their contracts expiring soon so it might be best to get what you can for them now rather have their contracts expire. you might decide to keep them though.
- Sign a CB. Our weakest area IMO, although we're not exactly weak there. overall the squad is pretty good though.
- keep an eye on finances. only a good run in europe and a good premiership finish stopped us making huge losses this season. part of it was down to transfers but wages were also a factor.

apart from that i haven't too much else to say. i hope you enjoy managing the Monkeys and hopefully you can bring us the success we deserve.

Save game will be uploaded late tonight all being well.

Good season overall there Rlip, maybe it was just a little too much for the squad to try and compete in three competitions.

I noticed that one of the players I signed, Crnomarkovic, was sold for a very good price of £10m to Deportivo. Any chance of a screenshot of him so I can see how he's been progressing?
Apart from that McCombe is the only other player I signed who's still at the club, but I see he's never quite made it to first choice.

I noticed that one of the players I signed, Crnomarkovic, was sold for a very good price of £10m to Deportivo. Any chance of a screenshot of him so I can see how he's been progressing?
Apart from that McCombe is the only other player I signed who's still at the club, but I see he's never quite made it to first choice.

i can try and get you a screenshot of him tonight. he developed into a decent player to be fair, it's just he was always going to be a squad player and i could make a good profit on him. his sale enabled me to sign a Schulz and Fazekas who made significant contributions to the team.

McCombe is a good GK but can't quite get the GK jersey. could easuly get another £10m for him though IMO. just depends if he's happy to be on the bench - i can't remember.

An option would certainly be a new user coming in. I think everyone on our list has already committed to the Monkeys (apart from one I've never heard of) so not sure if we want any dirty judas' switching sides at this point.

A few quick first impressions:

The squad is very strong in all areas, I can't really see that any signings will be necessary. I might pick up a few youngsters if I find them (potential wonderkids) but I won't be looking for any major signings unless I can find a striker who is better than the ones we currently have.

There's a few unhappy players; Holomek, Cerny, Jose, Law and Anziani all want to leave. I don't really want to sell any of them but I think if the right bid comes in I might sell Anziani.

David Ross looks great, I love it when a decent player comes through the youth team so I might try and involve him quite a bit in the first team.

The Hox wants more competitive football and I've got to decide whether to give him it. He's 30 and he's not as good as he used to be but with 238 goals in 253 games for the club I'm tempted to give him perhaps one final season spearheading the attack for the Legends.

Good to hear, think he's going to be quality. I gave him plenty of run outs last season, including the League Cup final where he scored and got an 8.

Pre Season news:

The club is predicted to finish 2nd, I am hoping that we can retain the title but a top four finish is a must. The big target this year is the Champions League so in attempt to keep the fixture congestion down I will be playing weakened teams in the two cups.

The stadium is being expanded by another 3000 seats, this will take the capacity up to around 43000.

Luc Anziani is leaving, the chairman accepted a bid of £12.5m from Villa after I offered him out to see what bids I could get.

The bids are flying in for Eder and Jose, with offers of £24m and £17m respectively. Thankfully the chairman hasn't stepped in yet but I'm expecting him to if the bids get any bigger. There are also a lot of clubs after unhappy Holomek, I'm going to lose him :(

I'm considering cashing in on Sean Law, he's transfer listed by request because he wants a more important role in the team which I just don't think he's going to get.

Yes. He's pretty decent but he's behind Vigier, Hox, Jose and Mot in the pecking order so he won't get many games. I'm looking for around £10m but £6-7m should do it.

Legends FC - Pre Season

Legends Res 0-2 Legends
Legends 4-2 Lyon
Santos 2-3 Legends
Flamengo 0-4 Legends
Vasco 3-7 Legends
Palmeiras 1-4 Legends
Legends 7-0 Fiorentina

A great pre season in which we were scoring for fun, the result against Fiorentina looks promising for this seasons European campaign.

Squad stats (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/squad-68.jpg)

Jose was on fire, which is bad news for the Hox. I'm also very tempted to make David Ross my first choice left winger, he looked good in the games he was involved in.

Transfers (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/transfers-37.jpg)

As predicted there wasn't a lot of action with just a few sales and a few youth players released. I really don't need to sign anyone, this squad is very strong in all positions, I'm just hoping the chairman doesn't sell anyone.

Things are looking good for the squad in general, lots of players have signed extensions to their contracts including Jose and Cerny who both wanted to leave not long ago. There's just one player left to sort out - Tomas Holomek. I desperately want to keep him but he's still unhappy and big clubs like Barcelona are after him.

Legends FC - August

Legends vs Arsenal (Community Shield) (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/arsenal-6.jpg)

The special one did what he does best but a last minute goal from a player I once tried to sign meant it went to penalties. Surprisingly we scored all ours to take the Community Shield for the first time in our history.

Middlesbrough vs Legends (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/boro-2.jpg)

Really wasn't expecting this result, we got hit on the break three times and just couldn't convert any of our chances.

Legends vs Arsenal (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/arsenal2.jpg)

A good win with Jose scoring against Arsenal again. David Ross made his first league start but was replaced late on in the game after getting a knock.

Leeds vs Legends (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/leeds-4.jpg)

Looked like an easy victory but we ended up holding on for the win.

Legends vs Reading (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/reading-2.jpg)

Completely dominated the match but just couldn't find the net, thankfully Jose saved us.

Norwich vs Legends (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/norwich-2.jpg)

Another case of wasted chances, saved yet again by a single goal from the spot.

Legends vs Werder Bremen (UEFA Super Cup) (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/bremen.jpg)

It was a tight game but a couple of late substitutions changed the game in extra time where we dominated them to win our second trophy of the season.

League Table (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/league-67.jpg)

Pretty pleased to be just a point behind the leaders without really hitting top form yet.

Squad (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/squad-69.jpg)

I still haven't quite made my mind up about which strikers to play, at the moment it seems quite good starting with Vigier and Jose, then bringing the Hox on for Jose later on in the game. Unfortunately it looks like Kunkel will keep Ross out of the team this season although I'll make sure he gets plenty of games. Great news, Tomas Holomek has signed a new contract, this means I have my first team squad all happy and wanting to stay at the club.

There was no more action in the transfer market, there were a few bids for our players but nothing happened which is good news.

The draw for the Champions League group stage has been made and it looks like it has been kind to us, drawing us in a group with Sporting CP, PSG and Olympiakos.

Legends vs Colchester (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/colchester-4.jpg)

Of our six league games, three have now been 1-0 wins. I don't think I could take that for a whole season.

Legends vs Derby (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/derby-5.jpg)

Should have been a lot more than that, Derby scored with their only shot on target.

Sporting CP vs Legends (Champions League Group C) (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/sporting.jpg)

On paper this was our toughest game in this group and Sporting played very well, thankfully we put away our chances with Jose grabbing a hattrick.

Chelsea vs Legends (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/chelsea-4.jpg)

A poor result against 10 man Chelsea who are struggling towards the bottom of the league.

Legends vs Reading (Carling Cup 3rd round) (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/reading-3.jpg)

With a trip to Old Trafford and a CL game coming up I had no interest in this game, we've won this competition three times so I decided to put out a weakened team including two of the newly promoted youth players. They actually put out a highly impressive performance. We'll meet struggling Championship side Swansea in the next round so there's anothre chance to give the youth players a game.

Man Utd vs Legends (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/manutd-3.jpg)

Completely dominated the match but just couldn't get the win.

League Table (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/league-68.jpg)

Losing a bit of ground on leaders Liverpool but hopefully we can catch them up.

CL Group (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/clgroup-1.jpg)

Things are looking good after beating Sporting away, I'm hoping we can qualify with a game to spare so I can play the youngsters again.

Squad (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/squad-70.jpg)

Still not hitting top form but hopefully that is still to come.

Swansea vs Legends (Carling Cup 4th round) (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/swansea-1.jpg)

Went in a little bit stronger than last time, but only because some of the youth players were unavailable. Once again they did a good job. We'll meet Sunderland in the quarter final.

League Table (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/league-69.jpg)

Liverpool suffered a bizarre 4-0 defeat at the hands of Sunderland which means their lead is cut to three points.

CL Group (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/cl-1.jpg)

A perfect start so far and a win away at Olympiakos in our next game will put us on course to qualify with a agame to spare.

Squad (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/dafuge/squad-72.jpg)

Jose is leading the way and his four goals against Spurs is hopefully the start of a good run of form.

He had a good month, with a couple of goals and a few great performances. With the system I'm playing he's never going to score that many but I would like to see a few more assists from him.

This is his 5th season, I signed him as a 17 year old from Brazil (which meant I didn't get to manage him first time around).

he must have quite a hefty amount of goals for the club then if this season is anything to go by

Not really, this is only the second season he has really featured. He only started two games last season.
