Dynamic preferred numbers?

Do players preferred numbers change? I think they should. I doubt most players in real life start with a strong preference of one number over another, but if I player does well wearing a certain number, it can become their favorite. Other players favored number changes during their career. Beckham's favorite number was 7 at Man U but became 23 at Real Madrid and LA. I don't think it makes a big difference in the game, but it would be a nice feature to see, especially with meaningful numbers like 9 and 10.

It seems to be more of a case of players only being able to have one favourite number assigned, when they could potentially have more than one in real life. It would be a nice touch really but... there's a lot of other things that could be improved. What does surprise me though is how many players dont have a preffered number.

It makes sense to me players not starting with a preffered number. I think once they wear a shirt and play well in it, it should become their favored number.
