Released on Mutual

I was managing my home town Portland Timbers and had a rough first half of the season and was turning things around in the second half (Aug/Sept). I went in to chat with the Board and saw that I could talk to them about my contract. Granted this was 2011 and the first season, but I thought that I would try to talk them in to signing for a long term deal to show potential players that we were going to have continuity to the Club in management. They went for it and said that they would send me the paper work in a few days. A few days go by and I get a not that I have been release by mutual consent/resigned. NO!!! I was supposed to be signing an extension.

Is this a bug? Should this statement/comment be moved?
